Lo prometido es deuda y aquí les traigo la segunda parte de mi colección de pulóveres para afrontar el frio invierno. Como mencioné en mi anterior publicación, esta es mi prenda de vestir favorita para el invierno, en el verano acostumbro a usar vestidos que ya presente en una publicación anterior y muchos se preguntaran, ***"¿por qué tengo tanta ropa?"*** La respuesta solo la saben mi mamá y mi abuela (que en paz descanse), ya que ellas eran las fanáticas de comprar ropa a lo loco por si las dudas, cosa de la que estoy agradecida sino hoy en día no tendría nada que ponerme. El buzo azul tiene un bonito detalle en la parte de atrás, por eso tome dos fotografías para que puedan apreciarlo.
--- A promise is a promise, and here I bring you the second part of my sweaters collection to face the cold winter. As I mentioned in my previous post, this is my favorite winter item. In the summer, I usually wear dresses, which I already featured in a previous post. Many of you might be wondering, ***"why do I have so many clothes?"*** Only my mom and grandma (may she rest in peace) know the answer, since they were the ones who were crazy about buying clothes just in case, something I'm grateful for, otherwise, I wouldn't have anything to wear today. The blue sweatshirt has a nice detail on the back, so I took two pictures so you can appreciate it. ---  ---

En esta ocasión hay algunos pulóveres que nunca los he usado y como siempre digo, los estoy guardando para cuando los que estoy usando actualmente quieran jubilarse y ya varios se han jubilado. Lo que me gusta de estos pulóveres es su excelente calidad, tardaron muchos años antes de que se estiraran o se estropearan y algunos permanecen como nuevos, casi ni se les notan las miles de lavadas que tienen, eso solo lo podía soportar la ropa de hace algunos años, por eso mi mamá y sobretodo mi abuela estaban en lo cierto con algunas cosas que les comentare a continuación.
--- This time, there are some sweaters I've never worn, and as I always say, I'm saving them for when the ones I'm currently wearing want to retire, and several have already. What I like about these sweaters is their excellent quality. They lasted many years before stretching or becoming damaged, and some remain as good as new, barely showing the thousands of washes they've been through. Only clothes from a few years ago could withstand that. That's why my mom, and especially my grandmother, were right about some of the things I'll tell you about below. ---  ---

Mi abuela nos solía comprar mucha ropa de unos talles más grandes de los que calzábamos porque ella creía que nos duraría hasta que creciéramos y de esta forma tendríamos ropa para varios años, siempre se aseguraba de que fueran bolsas de papa para que nos dure hasta que pegáramos el estirón, estirón que nunca apareció en mi caso porque sigo siendo pequeña en cuanto a contextura, pero la ropa la sigo usando y es que a mí me gusta usarla holgada. A ella le gustaba ir al mercado central que está a unas estaciones de donde vivimos y allí compraba ropa para todo un batallón y estaba en lo cierto, hoy en día la seguimos usando y ya no se consigue ropa de esta calidad.
--- My grandmother used to buy us a lot of clothes a few sizes bigger than we fit into because she believed they would last us until we grew up and that way we would have clothes for several years. She always made sure they were potato sacks so they would last us until we hit our growth spurt, a growth spurt that never happened in my case because I'm still small in terms of build, but I still wear the clothes because I like to wear them loose. She liked to go to the central market, which is a few stations from where we live, and there she would buy clothes for an entire battalion, and she was right. Today we still wear them and clothes of this quality are no longer available. ---  ---

Recuerdo que mi mamá se reía porque yo entraba diez veces en la ropa que nos compraba mi abuela, teníamos que subirle el puño a los pantalones y pulóveres porque yo los arrastraba y me cubrían las manos por completo, pero gracias a eso aún conservo esa ropa y ahora sí me queda muy bien, a pesar de que no crecí demasiado, puedo seguir usando esa ropa. Estoy agradecida con todo lo que nos dio mi abuela, literal no tendría nada si no fuera por ella, quizá por eso me cuesta desprenderme de algunas prendas de vestir, me recuerdan a ella y siento que así la sigo manteniendo a mi lado, aunque ya no este físicamente. Por otro lado, el pulóver fucsia con un diamante en el centro es mi favorito de todos, lo estoy usando mientras escribo este post y tiene muchísimos años de haberlo comprado, **luce bien.**
--- I remember my mom laughing because I fit ten times into the clothes my grandmother bought us. We had to roll up the cuffs of our pants and sweaters because I would drag them and they would cover my hands completely. But thanks to that, I still have those clothes, and now they fit me very well. Even though I didn't grow very tall, I can still wear them. I'm grateful for everything my grandmother gave us; I literally wouldn't have anything if it weren't for her. Maybe that's why it's hard for me to let go of some items of clothing. They remind me of her, and I feel like I'm still keeping her by my side, even though she's no longer physically here. On the other hand, the fuchsia sweater with a diamond in the center is my favorite of all. I'm wearing it as I write this post, and I bought it many years ago, **it looks good.** ---  ---

Aquí hay otro pulóver con un bonito detalle por detrás, casi no lo uso en invierno porque es algo frio y tampoco es para usarlo debajo de otro por el detalle que tiene, merece ser lucido, así que lo uso para esos días donde no se sabe si hace calor o frio. Quizá noten que algunos están un poco arrugados, es que no tengo plancha, la que tenia se prendió fuego, así que los alise lo más que pude, pero quiero destacar el casi perfecto estado en el que se conservan a pesar de sus largos años de uso y lavadas, sobre todo el fucsia del diamante que aún conserva sus diamantes originales y nunca se despegaron. Sigo remarcando que la calidad de la tela e hilos de años anteriores era esplendida y la ropa te duraba siglos. **¡Gracias a mi mamá y a mi abuela por todas estas prendas que me han regalado y que aún las conservo como tesoro!**
--- Here's another sweater with a nice detail on the back. I rarely wear it in winter because it's a bit chilly, and I don't want to wear it under another sweater because of the detail. It deserves to be shown off, so I use it for those days when you don't know if it's hot or cold. You may notice that some are a little wrinkled; I don't have an iron; the one I had caught fire, so I smoothed them out as much as I could. But I want to highlight the almost perfect condition they're in despite their many years of use and washing, especially the fuchsia diamond, which still has its original diamonds and never came loose. I keep emphasizing that the quality of the fabric and threads from previous years was splendid, and the clothes lasted centuries. **Thanks to my mom and grandmother for all the clothes they've given me, and I still treasure them!**
