There is a Japanese legend in which the person who makes 1000 paper cranes will be granted a wish, if you want to know more about this legend I invite you to look for the story of **Sadako Sasaki and the 1000 cranes**. With this story I was inspired to make that amount of cranes to make a wish for my mom which were several, but all encompassed in the same theme, health, because faith moves mountains, right? **This is not a tutorial, but if you want to learn how to make this beautiful origami I will leave at the end of the post my video tutorial that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, I also have it on Hive, but it is of poor quality for being my first origami videos where I did not know how to make them, watch the one you like the most.**

She started having panic attacks and here I want to clarify that a stress or anxiety crisis is not the same as a panic attack, I assure you and maybe someone knows what I mean, the panic attack already exceeds the limit of anxiety and is considered a **neurological disease.** **Since then we have had endless comings and goings to different doctors because she thought she was seriously ill, but in reality it was her mental health that was deteriorating and here I make another parenthesis because many ignore this issue and mental health is as important and dangerous as a physical illness, but very few pay attention to it and this includes medical professionals as well.**

Comenzó con ataques de pánico y aquí quiero aclarar que una crisis de estrés o ansiedad no es lo mismo que un ataque de pánico, se los aseguro y quizá alguno sabe a lo que me refiero, el ataque de pánico ya sobrepasa el límite de la ansiedad y se considera una **enfermedad neurológica.** **Desde ese entonces hemos tenido un sinfín de idas y venidas a diferentes médicos porque ella creía estar gravemente enferma, pero en realidad era su salud mental la que se estaba deteriorando y aquí hago otro paréntesis porque muchos ignoran este tema y la salud mental es tan importante y peligrosa como una enfermedad física, pero muy pocos le prestan atención y esto incluye a médicos profesionales también.** ---  ---

Surprise, yes it was important, it occurred to me that she should have thyroid studies done and it turned out that she had **hyperthyroidism** and we realized this because in less than a month she lost 20 kilos of weight without any kind of diet and this is caused by hyperthyroidism, so again the negligence of the doctors gave us a wrong diagnosis. She was about to have surgery on her gland, but something enlightened her and she started again the treatment against hyperthyroidism and this time it worked, at the beginning something happened and she did not tolerate the medicine, which by the way there is only one if you have low TSH, but then she could tolerate it and she was cured recently, she no longer has that disease, **so I could say that one of her wishes was fulfilled.** **Pay attention to the thyroid, if you find something related to it in any study, pay attention to it because they are silent diseases, but easy to cure if detected in time.**
--- Nadie le sabia diagnosticar lo que tenía, los ataques de pánico se le fueron hace un par de años con tratamiento psiquiátrico, pero continuo deteriorándose y no sabíamos por qué, hasta que se hizo una resonancia magnética de los huesos porque también sentía mucho dolor de huesos y allí salió que sus discos de la columna están desgastados y eso es muy doloroso, pero había algo más, en el informe se detalló **heterogeneidad de la glándula tiroides** a lo cual se lo consultamos a dos médicos, el traumatólogo y su medica de cabecera de la obra social y ambos dijeron que eso no era nada importante. Sorpresa, sí era importante, a mí se me ocurrió que se hiciera estudios de la tiroides y resulto que tenía **hipertiroidismo** y de esto nos dimos cuenta porque en menos de un mes perdió 20 kilos de peso sin hacer ningún tipo de dieta y eso lo provoca el hipertiroidismo, así que nuevamente la negligencia de los médicos nos hicieron un mal diagnóstico. Estuvo a punto de operarse la glándula, pero algo la ilumino y comenzó nuevamente el tratamiento contra el hipertiroidismo y esta vez le resulto, al principio algo paso y no toleraba el medicamento, que por cierto solo hay uno si se tiene la TSH baja, pero luego lo pudo tolerar y se curó hace poco, ya no tiene esa enfermedad, **así que podría decir que uno de los deseos se cumplió.** **Atentos a la tiroides, si a ustedes les sale algo referente a ella en algún estudio, préstenle atención porque son enfermedades silenciosas, pero fáciles de curar si se las detecta a tiempo.** ---  ---

It turns out that there is an extremely dangerous disease that inflames the veins in the temples which is called **temporal arteritis** and it is not temporary because it goes away with time, but it has that name because it affects the temporal artery that is located in the neck, head and temples area. We consulted with a rheumatologist and she sent him urgently for blood tests to detect inflammation because this disease if not treated in time can cause stroke, heart attack or permanent blindness, horrible. **Here I made another wish with the cranes, I asked for the studies to come out well and not to have that disease and it was fulfilled, the analysis did not show inflammation and that disease was ruled out, it only remains to know what is causing the head and neck pain, but we will know that only in September when a Doppler is done, the shifts are eternal. Anyway, if you notice any swollen vein in the head that was not there before, consult us, it can be fatal and it is better to be forewarned.**
--- La historia no termina ahí, debido al hipertiroidismo, a mi mamá le subía y le bajaba la presión arterial de golpe y varias veces tuvimos que salir corriendo de madrugada a la guardia médica para que la ayuden, estuvo internada incluso y yo supongo que debido a eso se le hincharon unas venas que tiene en las sienes y sorpresa, resulta que existe una enfermedad extremadamente peligrosa que inflama las venas de las sienes la cual se denomina **arteritis temporal** y no es temporal porque se va con el tiempo, sino que lleva ese nombre porque afecta a la arteria temporal que se ubica en la zona del cuello, cabeza y sienes. Consultamos con una reumatóloga y le envió de urgencia a hacerse análisis de sangre para detectar una inflamación porque esta enfermedad si no se trata a tiempo puede provocar ACV, infarto o ceguera permanente, horrible. **Aquí pedí otro deseo con las grullas, pedí que los estudios salieran bien y no tuviera esa enfermedad y se cumplió, los análisis no demostraron inflamación y esa enfermedad quedo descartada, solo resta saber qué es lo que le provoca el dolor de cabeza y cuello, pero eso recién en septiembre lo sabremos cuando se haga un Doppler, los turnos son eternos. De todas formas, si notan alguna vena hinchada en la cabeza que antes no estaba, consulten, puede ser fatal y es mejor estar prevenidos.** ---  ---

--- Puedo decir que algunos deseos se cumplieron, aún queda que se cumpla el deseo de que el Doppler salga bien al igual que la biopsia y que se le vaya la ansiedad, aunque está más leve que semanas anteriores, aún está presente y a veces le agarra. Si se me cumplen todos los deseos significa que el dicho de que la fe mueve montañas es cierto y que con un poco de fe y creencia se puede lograr hasta lo imposible. Nunca se queden con una sola opinión, a veces hay que seguir buscando hasta descubrir la causa de los malestares y no todos los médicos están dispuestos a encontrarla, por eso quiero agradecer a aquellos médicos que ejercen la profesión con vocación ya que son escasos en este mundo donde solo importa el dinero, agradezco a su endocrinóloga que le curo el hipertiroidismo, resta ver lo siguiente, pero confío en que estará todo bien. ###
