Paseo improvisado a Cubiro || Impromptu trip to Cubiro⛰️🍂

El domingo pasado terminó siendo un paseo improvisado a la montaña 🌄 Todo empezó la noche anterior, cuando mi tío y su novia nos visitaron y, entre charla y risas, alguien dijo: “¡Mañana podríamos subir a Cubiro a comer cochino frito!”. Y claro, nadie se resistió. Mi familia es de las que no necesita mucha excusa para salir: cualquier plan que no sea quedarse en casa siempre suena bien. Además, todos necesitábamos un día libre de la rutina, de las agendas apretadas y de los pendientes. Así que el domingo, entre las 10 y las 11 de la mañana, ya íbamos en camino rumbo a la montaña. El trayecto fue toda una mini aventura 😂. Hacía tiempo que no íbamos para allá en carro particular y mi papá no recordaba muy bien el camino, así que por ratos nos dejamos guiar por puro instinto, siguiendo señales y confiando en que el camino correcto aparecería. No había señal para usar Google Maps, pero entre chistes y buena música, el paseo se disfrutó igual. Cuando la carretera comenzó a ascender y el paisaje cambió, supimos que íbamos bien: los árboles, el aire fresco y las nubes bajas lo confirmaban 🌿☁️ Aunque al llegar el clima no estaba tan frío como otras veces —ya era mediodía y el sol pegaba fuerte—, todo se compensó al final de la tarde cuando volvió la neblina y ese fresquito que tanto amamos ❄️ No hicimos gran cosa allá arriba, solo almorzar rico, conversar y disfrutar del momento en familia 🩵 En ocasiones, eso es todo lo que se necesita: un respiro, un paisaje diferente y buena compañía. Y veces los mejores planes son los que no se planean✨

Last Sunday ended up being an impromptu trip to the mountains 🌄 It all started the night before, when my uncle and his girlfriend visited us and, amid conversation and laughter, someone said, “Tomorrow we could go up to Cubiro to eat fried pork!” And of course, no one resisted. My family is the kind that doesn't need much of an excuse to go out: any plan that doesn't involve staying at home always sounds good. Besides, we all needed a day off from our routines, busy schedules, and to-do lists. So on Sunday, between 10 and 11 in the morning, we were already on our way to the mountains. The journey was quite an adventure 😂. It had been a while since we had driven there in our own car, and my dad couldn't quite remember the way, so at times we just followed our instincts, following signs and trusting that we would find the right road. There was no signal to use Google Maps, but between jokes and good music, we enjoyed the ride just the same. When the road began to climb and the landscape changed, we knew we were on the right track: the trees, the fresh air, and the low clouds confirmed it 🌿☁️ Although when we arrived, the weather wasn't as cold as other times—it was already noon and the sun was beating down—everything was made up for at the end of the afternoon when the fog returned and with it that coolness we love so much ❄️ We didn't do much up there, just had a nice lunch, chatted, and enjoyed some family time 🩵 Sometimes, that's all you need: a break, a change of scenery, and good company. And sometimes the best plans are the ones that aren't planned✨
