Hey everyone, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you all have a week which has brought one or the other positive devotion into life! Today I would like to share something about my visit to Amsterdam and would be happy if you like my contribution or I might even motivate someone to stop by there.

When I was in the city of Amsterdam, I decided to visit the Rijksmuseum, which already has a centuries-long history behind it and was opened by King Louis Napoleon Bonaparte. On the day I was there, many visitors were here and I can only recommend everyone to take this into account and to save time, people should think about buying a ticket online beforehand because there was already quite a crowd at the ticket stand and also the entrance is separate from the place where the ticket can be bought, which can easily lead to confusion. If you book the ticket online, you can also choose a specific time slot and the admission costs about 20 euros, which is fair in every respect for everything that is offered. There is really a lot to see and bringing a lot of time is a important priority and in total it was almost five hours which I spent here, but people can also spend days if all the works are studied carefully.

Over a million objects are in the collection of the museum, which also includes numerous masterpieces of the golden age and this is probably one of the highlights of the collection and also for me it was a great experience to be able to see some of the masterpieces of the Dutch school. In part, the museum is even open to the public and there is a kind of path that leads partly through the museum and worldwide it is the only museum in which this is the case. The operators of the museum also actively committed themselves to research in the field of art and various technological aids are used to reconstruct or renovate important properties of paintings. A huge factor are also the changing exhibitions from time to time where various influences are to be integrated and also for children there is a program in which they can give free rein to their creativity.

Visitors have the opportunity to receive an audio guide which is available in different languages, but many important points are also recorded on text but for an even more accurate description, it can be worthwhile to get one beforehand. Especially when it comes to art, there is too much to see here and some of the most important paintings of the Dutch school can be found here, such as from the painter Rembrandt van Rijn, Vermeer or others. Roughly, I would say that it is more than a normal museum, but one of the most important symbols of the country which is definitely no longer to be beaten in diversity and every visitor to Amsterdam should definitely stop by here.
