Hey everyone, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you have a pleasant week so far! Today I would like to share an experience with you which I made while travelling and I am happy if you can expand your knowledge.
This time it's not about an experience like a visit to a museum or similar but about the airport of Beijing about which I would like to share some words. I have already visited many airports in the past, some of which were really in a bad condition or were poorly organised by the infrastructure and in China, I have had one of the best experiences so far and I was very surprised by the airport in Beijing which is also known under the abbreviation PEK. I had to spend a few hours there until I could enter my connecting flight, but this was relatively pleasant because there is a lot to offer here and even elements of old China could be found here. A few years ago, PEK was even named one of the best airports in the world and has also received numerous honours on the continent, which are particularly attributed to the good infrastructure and cleanliness. The feedback among travellers is also extremely positive in every respect and according to surveys, it always ends up at the top of the ranking of the best airports which have the most to offer.
Anyone who has generally been to China before will know how modern the infrastructure of buildings such as train stations or airports is and this also applies here in any case and some will at first glance maybe get a shock how developed China is in this respect compared to other countries. When it comes to architecture, it combines various elements and already the roof is particularly noticeable because it has the shape of a dragon which has a very special meaning in China and represents happiness or power. Also in other parts of the airport, visitors will be able to see a lot of symbolism which are also associated with modern elements such as colors or other technical details and inside the building, there are even buildings such as old temples that showcases the culture extremely well. I was amazed when I saw one of these temples and inside there were even some historical moments written down and I got in there quite comfortably and spent a few hours there and for me this was one of the most beautiful places at the airport.
There are also many possibilities to eat and I even found a place where the traditional Chinese tea culture can be experienced and here a lady freshly prepared different types of tea in front of my eyes and the special thing here was that it was not an instant, but real high-quality and traditional tea. There are also numerous other possibilities to eat something here, which also includes traditional food, but there are also numerous other things here, such as at other airports such as duty free articles to purchase and I even discovered a small spa area. The rooms of the airport look extremely magnificent and are definitely not to be compared with other airports because of the cleanliness or charisma and I also liked the entire infrastructure more than well and no matter whether some people should enter the country directly here or just make a stopover, I can only recommend the airport PEK in every respect.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new and like my post! I captured these pictures with my iPhone 16.
