Desde que comencé a interactuar más en esta gran comunidad, el béisbol ha sido de los tópicos más comunes de los que he comentado. Para serles honesto, muchas veces no cuento con recursos para poder seguir íntegramente estos eventos, pero bueno, siempre una noticia es buena ampliarla.
En esta ocasión, toca hablar del debut del equipo cubano de béisbol Sub-23 que se encuentra en Panamá buscando su clasificación al Mundial. Recientemente pude leer un post referido a los compromisos de nuestros peloteros en el escenario internacional y es bastante interesante lo que exponen.

En este torneo Sub-23 participan 3 representantes de mi provincia Pinar del Río, estos son Randy Martinez, Frank Dennis Blanco y Juan Manuel Pérez, además de Donald Duarte, como gloria deportiva invitada. Cuba, anclada en el grupo B, además de Islas Vírgenes (partido del cuál estaré hablando), tendrá de rivales a Aruba y Puerto Rico. En el partido de este domingo, porque para mí no hay domingo feliz sin béisbol, los cubanos vencieron por 8-2 a los virginianos.
La ofensiva fue la principal protagonista, y los santiagueros sus mejores maderos. De las 8 carreras fabricadas por los antillanos, 6 fueron remolcados por el trío de Harold Vazquez, Raider Sánchez y Euclides Pérez. El primero envío 3 pelotas más allá de las cercas, mientras Sánchez también la sacó del parque en una oportunidad.

Desde la lomita se vieron las principales problemáticas, que han incidido negativamente en los últimos eventos internacionales. El zurdo Dario Sarduy, lanzó cuatro entradas, pero el descontrol hizo que permitiera las únicas dos rayitas del equipo contrario. Del resto se encargaron Rafael Perdomo, Frank Dennis Blanco y Yuniel Batista, este último para cerrar el partido.
Coincido con muchos de los lectores y escritores que suelen hablar de béisbol en esta comunidad, que el principal enemigo del lanzador es el descontrol, y que poner hombres en circulación es la peor solución a los problemas.

Para este lunes, los cubanos enfrentarán a Aruba, perteneciente a las Antillas holandesas. Los cubanos deben alinear con los mismos que lo hicieron en el primer desafío, mientras el encargado de lanzar por los nuestros será Randy Martinez.
Aún no he podido indagar sobre este equipo arubeño, pero debe ser una compilación del mejor talento de ese país, los cuales se forman para ser futuros peloteros de Grandes Ligas. Tras ver los rivales que nos quedan, creo que Cuba puede obtener el boleto mundialista, y que puedan igualar la actuación del 2021, en donde quedaron en cuarto lugar del evento del orbe.

On this occasion, I want to talk about the debut of the Cuban U-23 baseball team, which is currently in Panama seeking qualification for the World Championship. Recently, I read a post regarding our players' commitments on the international stage, and it’s quite interesting what they have to say.
In this U-23 tournament, there are three representatives from my province, Pinar del Río: Randy Martinez, Frank Dennis Blanco, and Juan Manuel Pérez, along with Donald Duarte as an invited sports figure. Cuba, anchored in Group B, will face the Virgin Islands (the game I will be discussing), as well as Aruba and Puerto Rico.
