Para nuestro segundo reinado de carnaval decidí hacer yo misma las bandas para las niñas.
Compré Cinta Raso en el Castillo, foami dorado y plateado, silicon, pistola de silicón y todo lo necesario para hacerlas.
Lo primero que hice fue medir las cintas y cortar pedazos de 1 metro de largo.

For our second carnival reign I decided to make the bands for the girls myself.
I bought some satin ribbon at El Castillo, gold and silver foami, silicone, silicone gun and everything I needed to make them.
The first thing I did was to measure the ribbons and cut pieces of 1 meter long.
Cuando las corte de largo corté sus puntas en diagonal para que se viera más lindo.
Estas mismas puntas las quemé con un encendedor para sellar las costuras.
Con la pistola de silicon pegué los extremos de cada cinta para que quedaran como bandas finalmente.
Esta era la parte fácil, ahora debíamos hacer las letras.
En mi computadora escribí las palabras y aumenté el tamaño hasta el deseado, con una hoja comencé a calquear las letras.
When I cut them long I cut their ends diagonally to make it look nicer.
I burned these same ends with a lighter to seal the seams.
With the silicon gun I glued the ends of each ribbon so that they would look like bands at the end.
This was the easy part, now we had to make the letters.
On my computer I typed the words and increased the size to the desired size, with a sheet of paper I began to trace the letters.

Lo marqué muy clarito para no dañar la pantalla de mi computadora y luego lo repasé mejor.
Apliqué una técnica de remarcar muchas veces el trazo para luego darle la vuelta colocarlo encima del foami y rayar la parte de atrás de la hoja, así quedan marcados en el foami los trazos, de una manera muy mínima, así que también se remarcan con el bolígrafo.
I marked it very clearly so as not to damage my computer screen and then I went over it better.
I applied a technique of marking many times the line and then turn it over and place it on top of the foami and scratch the back of the sheet, so the lines are marked on the foami, in a very minimal way, so they are also marked with the ballpoint pen.

Después recorté todas las palabras con mucho cuidado, esta fue la parte más difícil la verdad, las formas no eran muy fáciles de recortar sobre todo las partes de las esquinas o curvas de las letras.
Las dejé a un lado antes de pegarlas para poner alrededor de las cintas la mercería dorada.
Estas las medí a lo largo de la cinta en cada extremo de la misma y luego las pegué con silicón.
El último paso fue pegar las palabras en el orden correcto y así teníamos nuestras cintas listas. La verdad para ser las primeras que hacía estaban bastante bien y a los papás les gustaron mucho, las vieron muy bonitas.

Then I cut out all the words very carefully, this was the most difficult part to be honest, the shapes were not very easy to cut out especially the corner or curved parts of the letters.
I put them aside before gluing them to put the gold haberdashery around the ribbons.
These I measured along the length of the ribbon at each end of the ribbon and then glued them on with silicone.
The last step was to glue the words in the correct order and we had our ribbons ready. To be honest, for being the first ones I made, they were pretty good and the parents liked them very much, they looked very nice.
