En la segunda clase del Nivel 1 de pintura la instructora les llegó a los chicos con un nuevo reto: Crear una pintura desde 0.
Ella siempre hace que los niños reten su talento, así que les indicó que realizarían una pintura de un Minion, personaje que todos conocemos y creo que a todos nos encantan.
Los niños se emocionaron pero a la vez, los nervios los atraparon... ¿Podrían hacer una pintura desde 0? Era momento de averiguarlo.

In the second class of Level 1 painting the instructor came to the kids with a new challenge: Create a painting from scratch.
She always makes the kids show their talent, so she told them they would make a painting of a Minion, a character we all know and I think we all love.
The kids were excited but at the same time, nerves got the best of them.... Could they make a painting from scratch? It was time to find out.
Los niños comenzaron su dibujo siguiendo las indicaciones de su profesora, quién les dijo que lo primero que debían hacer era un cuadro para marcar el tamaño de su dibujo.
Luego, debían comenzar con el cuerpo del Minion, iniciaron por la cabeza, haciendo un arco de extremo a extremo del cuadro que habían hecho, siguiendo hasta el final para crear el torso del Minon. Lo siguiente fueron las manos y los pies, aquí tuvieron un poco de dificultad pero, en la academia la frase ''No puedo'' está prohibida y todos los niños lo saben. Esa frase te hace limitarte inmensamente y es por eso que no me agrada cuando los niños la dicen porque se que son capaces de crear lo que quieran.
Ellos siguieron adelante con su dibujo, la primera hora se fue en esta parte y es que bueno, tenían que corregir constantemente el dibujo.
Los niños estaban un poco incómodos en la mesa y es que nos tomó por sorpresa la cantidad de nuevos alumnos, todos se inscribieron ese día así que tuvimos que trabajar ese día un poco más apretados pero, ya estábamos gestionando una nueva mesa.
The children began their drawing following the instructions of their teacher, who told them that the first thing they had to do was to make a square to mark the size of their drawing.
Then, they had to start with the body of the Minion, they began with the head, making an arc from end to end of the picture they had made, continuing to the end to create the torso of the Minon. Next were the hands and feet, here they had a little difficulty but, in the academy the phrase ''I can't'' is forbidden and all the children know it. That phrase makes you limit yourself immensely and that's why I don't like it when children say it because I know they are capable of creating whatever they want.
They went ahead with their drawing, the first hour was spent in this part and well, they had to constantly correct the drawing.
The children were a little uncomfortable at the table and we were taken by surprise by the number of new students, they all signed up that day so we had to work that day a little tighter but we were already managing a new table.
Después de un breve receso para poder merendar era momento de darle color a ese dibujo.
La instructora buscó las pinturas a utilizar y los niños comenzaron pintando el cuerpo de su Minion con color amarillo.
Me quedé sorprendida al ver los dibujos porque habían dibujos de niñas de solo 6 años y me consta que la profesora los dejó hacerlos solitos. De verdad son muy talentosos.
Esta actividad también servía de diagnostico para la profe ya que podría darse cuenta de las debilidades de los niños para trabajarlas y ayudarles a mejorar.
After a short snack break, it was time to color the drawing.
The instructor looked for the paints to use and the children started painting the body of their Minion with yellow color.
I was amazed to see the drawings because there were drawings from girls as young as 6 years old and I know that the teacher let them do it on their own. They are really very talented.
This activity also served as a diagnostic for the teacher because she could see the children's weaknesses to work on them and help them improve.

Al secarse la pintura amarilla los niños avanzaron a la ropa del minion, su característica braga azul.
El dibujo iba tomando mucha más forma y todos estaban muy entusiasmados con su trabajo.
La pintura azul se secó y era momento de dar los detalles, estos iban en negro y era la parte más difícil a mi parecer pues debían pintar líneas muy finas y la precisión podía jugarles en contra, pero aún así trabajaron lo mejor que pudieron.
As the yellow paint dried the children moved on to the minion's clothing, his trademark blue panties.
The drawing was taking much more shape and everyone was very enthusiastic about their work.
The blue paint dried and it was time for the details, these were in black and it was the most difficult part in my opinion as they had to paint very fine lines and precision could work against them, but they still worked as best they could.

Los niños terminaron orgullosos sus dibujos y yo no tengo nada que decir de forma negativa, son niños que no superan los 9 años y lograron crear su propia pintura desde 0 sin conocimientos previos, un verdadero logro.
Se que son capaces de mejorar muchísimo su talento y en eso nos enfocaremos en este nivel.

The children proudly finished their drawings and I have nothing negative to say, they are children no older than 9 years old and they managed to create their own painting from scratch without any previous knowledge, a real achievement.
I know they are capable of improving their talent and that is what we will focus on at this level.
