Greetings, my dears.
Photographs are, without a doubt, the wild card of our memories, a nod to those good or bad moments that we sometimes have had to live through, and other times that we have chosen to experience.
Today I'm sharing a very special memory with you. Let me give you some context: I was going through some very tense and complex personal and professional situations, which had been dragging on for some time without a solution in sight. Because of this, my spirits were affected, and I fell into a state of deep sadness. My family isn't used to seeing me so down, so my sister @yuraimatc planned my rescue, haha.
That Saturday, she had arranged to meet some friends for a poetry and folk music gathering at one of the most spacious cafes in Camagüey. She spoke with them and brought me along as a "connection."
None of them knew me, however, their affection for my sister, their natural empathy, and the precious quality of their hearts conspired to welcome me with open arms and immediately make me feel like one of them.
Needless to say, the art shared there that afternoon alone would have been enough to make it unforgettable. The performances of @dulcekpricho and the poetry of @liannetches resonated deeply within me. They reminded me that there are always new reasons to smile, that my voice too can defy and dispel sadness.
That afternoon, their friends became mine. I gained valuable and beautiful people. I had fun, I enjoyed myself. Between cups of coffee with rum, friends, music, laughter and verses, I healed.
I still cherish the friendship of all of them. Sometimes I receive a visit, other times a WhatsApp message, a mention in a post—that tells me that in some way I also remain in their hearts. What more could I ask for?
I embrace you all today as well.

Saludos, mis queridos.
Las fotografías son, sin dudas, el comodín de nuestros recuerdos, un guiño a esos malos o buenos momentos que a veces nos ha tocado, otras que hemos elegido, vivir.
Hoy les comparto un recuerdo muy especial para mí. Permítanme darles un poco de contexto: yo atravesaba por situaciones personales y laborales muy tensas y complejas, que además ya se prolongaban en el tiempo sin que una solución apareciera, por ese motivo mi ánimo se vio afectado y caí en un estado de tristeza profundo. Mi familia no está acostumbrada a verme "encogida" así que mi hermana @yuraimatc planeó mi rescate jjj.
Ese sábado ella había quedado con unos amigos para compartir una peña de poesía y trova en uno de los cafés más espaciosos de la Ciudad de Camagüey, habló con ellos y me llevó de "enchufada"
Ninguno de ellos me conocía, sin embargo, su cariño por mi hermana, su natural empatía y la calidad preciosa de sus corazones conspiraron para que me recibieran con los brazos abiertos y me hicieran sentir enseguida que yo era una más de ellos.
Ni qué decir que el arte que se compartió allí esa tarde ya bastaría para no olvidarla. Las interpretaciones de @dulcekpricho y la poesía de @liannetchs se me mezclaban en el alma. Me recordaron que siempre hay nuevos motivos para sonreír, que mi voz también puede desafiar y conjurar la tristeza.
Aquella tarde sus amigos se convirtieron en los míos. Gané gente valiosa y hermosa. Me divertí, disfruté. Entre tazas de café con ron, amigos, música, risas y versos, sané.
Aún conservo la amistad de todos ellos, a veces he recibido una visita, otras un mensaje de WhatsApp, una mención en algún post, eso me dice que de alguna manera yo también me quedé en sus corazones. ¿Se puede pedir más?
