The sky this morning was dark and gloomy-not like this first picture. Our church was hosting a community service in combination with Riding High Ministries. Church this morning was held at the Sumas rodeo Grounds. One of our worship teams led the music.
When we first arrived, the bleachers were mostly empty but by the time it started, they were mostly full.
I have a video of some of the worship, however 3Speak is not working for me. 😔
Riding High Ministries was founded by Todd Pierce, a professional rodeo circuit rider. I asked GROK for a brief synopsis of the ministry:
Riding High Ministries is a Christian nonprofit organization founded in 2002 by Todd Pierce, a former professional bareback bronc rider and top-20 competitor on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) tour, and his wife Leslie Pierce. Based in Shelley, Idaho, the ministry uses hands-on horse training demonstrations—particularly with wild or unbroken horses—as a powerful metaphor to illustrate God’s relentless love, pursuit, healing, and desire for intimate relationship with people, much like a trainer gently connects with and transforms a resistant horse. Their core message emphasizes overcoming fatherlessness (both literal and spiritual), drawing from Malachi 4:6 in the Bible, which speaks to turning the hearts of fathers to their children and vice versa. The Pierces believe that in an era of widespread emotional and relational brokenness, connecting people to God as a loving Father can heal families, empower men to lead with love, honor women, and transform communities.
Since the event was hosted by our church, Pastor Kyle gave a brief message before Todd came up for the discussion they had.
All in all, church lasted for about 2.5 hours. It was awesome hearing what was said and being outdoors. It never did rain! I looked over at the stock pens where some cattle were and almost chuckled out loud! It looked as if they were all turned facing Pastor Kyle as he prayed, all lined up side by side. I should have taken the picture but alas, did not.

Afterwards, there was to be a team roping event which we didn’t stay for. It would have been cool to watch.
Once home, it was a few house chores and then off to a coffee date. ☕️ a couple quick stops and then back home via a roadside stand for another pumpkin!🎃. Score and then once home, we headed out for a hike up to the newly decimated 80 acres that has been logged. So sad what they’ve done! 😢
That’s it for today. Take care; have an awesome week ahead and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

NKJV Psalm 24:1-10
The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.
