Mención de Honor de Ammy: 2do año consecutivo [ESP-ENG]

Como padres, es normal sentir orgullo al ver a nuestros hijos, no hace falta mucha veces que ellos logren algo, solo con verlos reír, correr, jugar e incluso dormir, nos sentimos orgullosos de lo que son y afortunados de tenerlos. La semana pasada la escuela tenía un Acto Solemne por su aniversario, en estos actos van las autoridades no sólo de la institución, si no también del Municipio, como el Alcalde y el Distrito Escolar. Por ello, cada vez que celebran un acto de este tipo, entregan mención de honor a los estudiantes con más alta calificación académica y en comportamiento de toda la institución. Nuevamente, Ammy fue invitada para recibir mención de honor por tener excelentes calificaciones, habiendo aprobado el año electivo 2024-2025 (año escolar pasado) con 10/10 en todas sus asignaturas y sí, me siento orgullosa.   _{*Maestra de Ammy, primera distinguida de la Institución.*} Este año no ha sido fácil, lo estamos llevando muy bien para duro que ha sido a nivel familiar, así que recibir noticias como estas son justas y necesarias. Cuando la maestra me escribió, ya yo lo sospechaba, pues era obvio, sin embargo sentí una gran alegría y fui corriendo a compartirlo con mi familia y seres queridos, ahora con ustedes. Ammy es una niña con un gran corazón, muy bien portada, colaboradora y respetuosa, además es muy inteligente y a veces ingenua, como decimos su papá y yo. Estamos orgullosos de su esfuerzo y constancia, cada consejo, también los regaños, cada cosa que hicimos en pro de sus conocimientos académicos ha valido la pena y este año lo seguirá valiendo. De su grado, que por cierto es el último en la escuela, solo invitaron a 4 niños, ella, su mejor amiga y dos niños más que siempre han sido el grupo de sobresalientes. Como parte del comité de padres, nos movimos para que también incluyeran a 5 niños más, que aunque el comportamiento no ha sido excelente también obtuvieron buenas calificaciones, y juntos logramos que sucediera, así que por parte del grado de Ammy, fueron 9 niños en total, siendo el grado con mayor niños en recibir mención de honor en toda la escuela. || |-|-| El acto se llevó acabo en las instalaciones del Municipo en la ciudad donde vivimos. Las autoridades presentes felicitaron y mostraron honores ante los estudiantes, padres, representantes y señores invitados. Fue un acto que duró 2 horas, pero que quedará en la memoria de nuestros hijos y sus corazones por siempre, como recompensa a sus esfuerzos y deberes cumplidos. >![English Version] > >As parents, it's normal to feel proud when we see our children—not necessarily because they've achieved something specific, but simply watching them laugh, run, play, or even sleep fills us with pride for who they are and how lucky we are to have them. > >Last week, the school held a Solemn Ceremony for its anniversary. These events are attended not only by school authorities but also by municipal officials, such as the Mayor and the representatives of the School District. During ceremonies like this, they present an honor mention to students with the highest academic and behavioral performance in the entire institution. Once again, Ammy was invited to receive this honor for her excellent grades, having completed the 2024–2025 academic year with a perfect score of 10/10 in all her subjects. And yes, I feel incredibly proud. > >This year hasn’t been easy; we’re managing as best we can despite the challenges our family has faced. So, receiving news like this feels both fair and necessary. When the teacher wrote to me, I already suspected it—it was obvious—but I still felt immense joy and rushed to share the news with my family, loved ones, and now, with all of you. > >Ammy is a girl with a big heart—well-behaved, helpful, and respectful. She's also very intelligent, and at times a bit naive, as her father and I like to say. We’re proud of her effort and consistency. Every piece of advice, every scolding, every little thing we’ve done to support her academic journey has been worth it—and it will continue to be worth it this year. From her grade—which, by the way, is the final year in her school—only four students were initially invited: her, her best friend, and two other boys who have always been among the top performers. > >As part of the parents’ committee, we advocated to include five more children who, although their behavior hasn’t been perfect, also earned good grades. Together, we made it happen. So, from Ammy’s class, a total of nine children were honored, making it the class with the most students receiving honors in the entire school. > >The ceremony took place at the municipal building in our city. The officials present congratulated the students and gave recognition in front of parents, representatives, and special guests. It was a two-hour event, but one that will remain in our children's memories and hearts forever—as a reward for their effort and for fulfilling their responsibilities.
