Continuing our trip in the northern part of Malaysia, Perlis... And rain was still showering upon us non-stop... But then it didn't really stop us... Well, we had come all the way here, couldn't just stay indoor at the homestay, right? So after climbing up hill and walking in the dark cave... we went to visit some animals at the Perlis Snake and Reptile Farm. There's also a cat shelter in the farm called Bustana Kucing Perlis.
The Perlis Snake and Reptile Farm houses more than 200 species of snakes, including cobras, vipers, and pythons. Apart from snakes, the farm also has other reptiles like lizards, crocodiles, and turtles. The farm is not only a tourist attraction but also a research center for scientists who study reptiles. And the Bustana Kucing Perlis is home to more than 100 cats of different breeds. The shelter has various facilities for cats, including play areas, resting spots, and feeding stations. Visitors can interact with the cats and even adopt them if they wish. Admission fee to the farm is affordable, RM4 (2.2 Hive) for adults and RM1 (0.55 Hive) for children.
It was really raining heavily hence we couldn't really walk around and visit all the animals in the farm. But we still had a great time there. Ryenne and Vinnie went into the cat shelter with 100 of cats. This was the first time they were being surrounded with so many cats. The staff was with them too to make sure both the girls and cats were safe. Why I didn't go in there? Because there's too many cats and I was helping the girls carrying their bags and stuff when they were in there. If there were much less cats, I would have gone inside too 😅😅😅...
Are you a cat lover or snake lover or reptile lover? If I have to choose among these three, I would choose cat... And no thanks to snake and reptile... I will stay far far away from them...
