I have been slacking for two weeks... Sorry for this... Was down with flu last week, and luckily enough I recovered right before Chinese New Year... Then was away from the screen for almost the entire week... This Chinese New Year, we have been busy chasing lions... 🤣🤣🤣 What!!!??? 🦁🦁🦁 Ya, the Chinese Lion Dance... Maybe this is one of the last few years we will be chasing lions during CNY... My girls are growing up really fast... Little Vinnie is the one that still into the chasing lions act...
OK, what do I mean by chasing lions? I guess many of you may be scratching your head... Here in Malaysia, during CNY, the malls will prepare lots of activities and events and one of it is the Lion Dance. So we will get the schedule of all the malls events and then plan to hop from one performance to another. If you are wondering just how many lion dance performance are there in KL during this CNY, A LOT!!! Yes, at least 10 performances a day... I myself was shocked too when I found this out... Here's the LIST. Up till the 15th day of CNY we have lion dance performances...
There are four lion dance performances in the photos I shared. From the Gardens Mall, Eko Cheras, Subang Parade and MyTown. All the lion performances were totally superb. The lions were lively and superb. I have shot some videos but yet to upload them. Maybe I will edit into one video (no promise, but will try my best to get this up). Even little Vinnie have shot lots of photos and videos this time.
Besides chasing lions, what else have I been doing during this CNY? Well, lou sang (a.k.a Prosperity Toss) is one of our favourite CNY activity too. Gonna show our lou sang photos in the next post. And this CNY has been the coolest and wettest so far. It's been raining everyday but it has not decreased the mood of celebration at all. Fireworks and fire crackers everywhere too during the night...
