It’s a gloomy autumn morning, and I am walking through the woods for my #wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay. This is the best time when all the leaves are changing colour. There's also a lot of fungi about which always makes a walk more interesting. You never know what you are going to find. As it was a week day there wasn’t anyone else about.
There was a lost lion in the woods. There is a campsite next door and you get a lot of visiting families so I suspect one of their children has dropped him. If the lion is still here in a week's time I might take him home. I don't like the thought of him getting caught in the rain but I hope they find him.
A love heart in the woods ...
The fly agerics have been particularly large this year.
I must treat myself to some new trainers as I could feel every pine cone underfoot at this point.
I always like the look of this fallen tree. It looks like a lot of tentacles are going to grab you as you walk past.
I think the grey stone wall looked nice with the orange leaves of the tree and the little bit of purple of the toadflax.
The country lane looked really pretty as I made my way back to my car.
