As I'm staying with a friend in Bournemouth, Dorset, for a little holiday, I popped down to Redhill Park Nature Reserve. I took my friend's labrador for an early morning walk before all the other dog walkers turned up. Even though I don't like heights, I always enjoy this view from the bridge as I walked over the road into the park, especially when autumn is approaching and all the leaves have fallen to the side of the road.

On the information board, it said what kind of wildlife you might come across. I don't mind any of them apart from slow worms. They are harmless, but I still don't want to see any.

All the grass looks parched as we've had very little rain, although we are forecast some in the mornings which might help bring the grass back to life.

We actually had a little rain this morning. It was still misty so the spiders' webs on the gorse bushes were really noticeable.

I like to see the acorns on the oak tree. I'm sure the birds and the squirrels appreciate them as they are a good food source.

I let Buddy take the lead as he knew where he was going. That's the best thing when you have no sense of direction, you can always rely on the dog to get you back to the starting point!
