It was a bit cool this morning. It definitely has that autumnal feeling first thing. I think we are going to pay for our lovely summer. I am looking forward to misty mornings in the forest, though.
They have been chopping more trees down as part of the forest management. There are a few deep tyre marks from the diggers they've been using, so it can get quite muddy around this part.
On the road I live on, they had to pull a tree down as the roots had grown underneath the bungalow, creating a few issues inside the property. I now understand why, seeing this tree with such long roots.
Usually, the birds feed on this mossy stonewall. Passersby leave bird seed for them but it was all gone this morning.
There wasn't a lot of colour apart from the leaves of the rosebay willowherb that have changed from green to red to prepare themselves for the winter.
It was a bit gloomy in the forest, but the sun was breaking through when I made my way out.
