It was raining this morning but not enough to put me off my morning walk. After I did my weekly shop I called in at the local dam which is located next to the supermarket. There's always plenty of birdlife here and a good stroll. Unfortunately, there isn't really a circular walk unless you go on the road part of the way. It is still a nice little walk, though.
Whoever lives in this house definitely has a lovely view over the dam especially in autumn with the changing of the leaves and the reflections.
I only see a couple of Mandarin ducks here normally but there are quite a few now. I know of a local animal charity who asked if anyone knew of a pond or lake with Mandarin ducks. Perhaps they'd been looking after some and were trying to locate them in a safe environment.
There's also a couple of swans here along with the usual coots, moorhens, ducks and Canada geese.
The leaves are definitely changing to yellows and browns, which is my favourite time of the year. I sat on the bench for 10 minutes before I made my way back to my car.
