Good day everyone, welcome to my blog.
Laughter is said to be a very good food for the soul, it brings happiness, reduces stress and tension. As someone who was clumsy as a child, I can say I had a handful of times I tried to impress my crush but I failed at it.
The one that may never leave my memory was one day after we eventually started to date, we were getting to know each other. You know at that stage, a lot of questions will be asked.
Akin asked about the kind of colors, songs, books, food and every other thing I liked and I answered him correctly in my mind. I was like yes babes you are facing your fear because I used to think I will turn into an ocean if we stand to talk for five minutes.
Al generated.
Here we are, twenty minutes into the conversation and we still had things to say to each other. If I had known, I would have left the question to Akin but poor me, I wanted to prove to him that it's not only in Binta High school that English is being taught, we are being taught in my school too.
Then I decided to ask questions about films he had seen or seeing presently. The shameful part was that I did not realize that I made the mistake of asking if he had seen the film titled “passionity” soul instead of passionate soul till I was by myself and recounting the event when I got home.
The poor thing did not make a fuss about it. When I was throwing the bomb of an English he just drew me close, hugged me and told me he was going to see the film.
When I realized the blunder, I became white from embarrassment and had to avoid him for days though we stayed on the same street. I would rather take a longer route than to pass wherever I know he might see me.
Being a mature guy who was into amateur me, Akin came around one evening and insisted that we talk, he hit the nail on the head as to why I have been avoiding him and assured me that everything is going to be alright, that after all, one can learn and improve with time.
His words of encouragement helped and I became free around him though I process my grammar ten hundred times before I speak it to him in my head but the way he handled the situation was a boast to what helped restore my esteem.
