Hello, girls!
@irenenavarroart touches our hearts with her second question in this week's community quiz #255. In my country, summer vacation takes place between July and August. However, some schools end earlier, such as the art school where my children attend.
They finished their exams at the beginning of June, so technically they were on vacation, even though the school continued to hold exams for other subjects.
Of course, this changes my daily routine. While my two children are in school, I have more freedom of movement and action. When I have them at home, I have to make sure I leave them a snack and be home on time to prepare lunch. In the afternoon, I have to keep an eye on their things and attend to them with whatever they need. If I go out to address work issues, I have to return home as quickly as possible or take them with me.
Also, there may be days when they get bored at home if they don't have a friend to play with or a place to go. That's why I prefer those months off school. I think every parent feels the same. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, and every time they leave for school, I want them back. But I know they're okay and learning, which makes me happy. And everything I do during that time apart, I do with them in mind. And if they take even a little longer than usual, I start to worry. Almost every day, I try to prepare a surprise for them when they return. I love seeing their smiling, happy faces when I see what I've prepared for them. In the morning, I love waking them up and giving them breakfast.
In the afternoon, I give them a snack before they go out to play or study. These are some of the things I really enjoy about the school year. Also, since I'm a teacher at the same school, from time to time, when I miss them, I stop by their classrooms and say hello. The good thing is that they love school too, so it's a win-win situation for everyone. Aside from that, I don't have any other routines. My days revolve around my family and music. But yes, we all love these months of school. My kids love their classes, and we love teaching them. Everyone wins.

@irenenavarroart nos toca el corazón con su segunda pregunta en el concurso de la comunidad de esta semana #255. En mi país las vacaciones de verano tienen lugar entre los meses de julio y agosto. Sin embargo, hay algunas escuelas que terminan antes, como es el caso de la escuela de arte, donde estudian mis hijos.
Ellos terminaron sus exámenes a principio de junio, por lo que, técnicamente estaban de vacaciones, aunque la escuela continuara realizando otros exámenes a otras especialidades.
Por supuesto que eso me cambia mi rutina diaria. Mientras mis dos hijos están para la escuela, tengo más libertad de movimiento y acción.
Cuando los tengo en casa, debo asegurarme de dejarles merienda y estar a tiempo en casa para preparar el almuerzo. Por la tarde, estar pendiente de sus cosas y atenderlos en lo que necesiten.
Si salgo a resolver cuestiones de trabajo, debo regresar lo más rápido posible a casa o llevarlos conmigo.
Además, pueden haber días que se aburran en casa si no tienen algún amigo con el que jugar o sitio a donde ir. Por eso prefiero esos meses de escuela. Creo que todo padre piensa similar. No me malinterpreten, amo a mis hijos y cada vez que salen para la escuela, ya los quiero tener de vuelta. Pero sé que están bien y aprendiendo, cosa que me hace feliz. Y todo lo que hago en ese tiempo separados, lo hago pensando en ellos. Y si se demoran solo un poco más de lo habitual, comienzo a preocuparme. Casi todos los días trato de prepararles alguna sorpresa para cuando regresen. Me encanta ver esos rostros sonrientes y felices al ver lo que les preparo. Por la mañana me encanta despertarlos y darles su desayuno.
Por las tardes su merienda antes de que salgan a jugar o se pongan a estudiar. Estas son algunas de las cosas que disfruto mucho del periodo escolar. También, como soy maestra en la misma escuela, de vez en cuando, cuando los extraño, paso por sus aulas y los saludo. La suerte es que a ellos también les encanta la escuela, así que es una situación de win-win para todos. Fuera de eso, no tengo otras rutinas. Mis días giran en torno a mi familia y a la música. Pero eso sí, todos amamos estos meses de escuela. A mis niños les encanta recibir las clases ya nosotros impartirlas. Todos ganamos.
