I'm back to answer question 251 of week 1!
As a woman and a classical guitarist, I've learned that life, like music, requires harmony between what I feel, what I believe, and what I do.
Not all decisions are easy, but over time I've realized that if I'm guided by my values and principles, they help me choose clearly.
For this occasion, I'll talk about just three of them:
We must do something positive, something that makes me and my family happy.
Respect.
And honesty.
These principles are like the strings on my guitar: if one fails, the piece doesn't sound right. It doesn't work.
I talked to them about doing something positive that makes us happy because, although it may sound obvious, there are many people who decide the exact opposite.
Sometimes we have to choose between two options, and we struggle. The decision is simple: the one that doesn't make us feel bad.
Music isn't just about technique; it's about passion, dedication, and joy. Ever since I chose the classical guitar, I knew I couldn't dedicate my life to something that didn't fill my soul. But my happiness has never been selfish: I also think about how my decisions affect those I love.
When I play, I'm not only seeking my own satisfaction, but also sharing beauty with others. I chose this career not only for myself, but because I know that, by following my calling, I inspire my family to pursue their dreams. True happiness is happiness that multiplies.

Respect as the foundation of everyday life.
In the world of classical music, respect is essential: for the composer, for the instrument, for the audience. But it goes further. Respect means valuing differences, listening before judging, and treating others with dignity.
I've had to make difficult decisions, such as turning down opportunities that compromised my principles or distancing myself from people who didn't do me any good. But always with the conviction that respect, for myself and for others, is non-negotiable.
As an artist, I also understand that respect for my discipline requires discipline: hours of study, patience, and humility to continue learning.
Honesty, even when it hurts, is the way forward. It's part of respecting ourselves.
The guitar doesn't lie: if you don't study, it shows; if you don't put your heart into it, it sounds empty. That's life. Honesty has been my guide in key moments: from admitting my limits to recognizing when a relationship or project wasn't authentic.
Being honest with myself has kept me from living a lie; being honest with others has built trust. Even when telling the truth is difficult, I prefer clarity to the comfort of deception.
These three values aren't just rigid rules, but a compass. Sometimes they're out of tune, sometimes they require adjustments and courage, but they always bring me back to center.
Music taught me that the best performances emerge when technique, emotion, and ethics are balanced.
In life, the same: when my choices are born from genuine joy, unwavering respect, and courageous honesty, I know that even if the path isn't perfect, it will be mine. And in the end, that's what makes every note and every decision worthwhile.

Estoy de vuelta para responder a la pregunta de la semana 251!
Como mujer y guitarrista clásica, he aprendido que la vida, al igual que la música, requiere armonía entre lo que siento, lo que creo y lo que hago.
No todas las decisiones son fáciles, pero con el tiempo me di cuenta de que sí me guío por mis valores y principios, estos me ayudan a elegir con claridad.
Para esta ocasión, les hablaré solo de tres de ellos:
Debemos hacer algo positivo, algo que me haga feliz a mí y a mi familia.
El respeto.
Y la honestidad.
Estos principios son como las cuerdas de mi guitarra: si una falla, la obra no suena bien. No funciona.
Les hablé de hacer algo positivo y que nos haga feliz porque, aunque suene obvio , hay muchas personas que deciden todo lo contrario.
En ocasiones debemos elegir entre dos opciones y nos cuesta trabajo. La decisión es sencilla: la que no se sienta mal.
La música no es solo técnica; es pasión, entrega y alegría. Desde que elegí la guitarra clásica, supe que no podía dedicar mi vida a algo que no me llenara el alma. Pero mi felicidad nunca ha sido egoísta: también pienso en cómo mis decisiones afectan a quienes amo.
Cuando toco, no solo busco mi propia satisfacción, sino también compartir belleza con otros. Elegí esta carrera no solo por mí, sino porque sé que, al seguir mi vocación, inspiro a mi familia a perseguir sus sueños. La felicidad auténtica es la que se multiplica.

El respeto como ciemiento de la vida cotidiana.
En el mundo de la música clásica, el respeto es esencial: por el compositor, por el instrumento, por el público. Pero va más allá. Respetar significa valorar las diferencias, escuchar antes de juzgar y tratar a los demás con dignidad.
He tenido que tomar decisiones difíciles, como rechazar oportunidades que comprometían mis principios o alejarme de personas que no me hacían bien. Pero siempre con la convicción de que el respeto, hacia mí misma y hacia los demás, no es negociable.
Como artista, también entiendo que el respeto por mi disciplina exige disciplina: horas de estudio, paciencia y humildad para seguir aprendiendo.
La honestidad, incluso cuando duele, es el camino a seguir. Es parte de respetarnos a nosotras mismas.
La guitarra no miente: si no estudias, se nota; si no pones el alma, suena vacío. Así es la vida. La honestidad ha sido mi guía en momentos clave: desde admitir mis límites, hasta reconocer cuándo una relación o un proyecto no eran auténticos.
Ser honesta conmigo misma me ha evitado vivir una mentira; serlo con los demás ha construido confianza. Incluso cuando decir la verdad es difícil, prefiero la claridad a la comodidad de engañar.
Estos tres valores no solo son reglas rígidas, sino una brújula. A veces desafinan, a veces requieren ajustes, coraje, pero siempre me devuelven al centro.
La música me enseñó que las mejores interpretaciones surgen cuando técnica, emoción y ética se equilibran.
En la vida, igual: cuando mis elecciones nacen de la alegría genuina, el respeto inquebrantable y la honestidad valiente, sé que, aunque el camino no sea perfecto, será mío. Y al final, eso es lo que hace que cada nota y cada decisión, valgan la pena.
