Our beloved brother Eli points out some very important lessons contained in Philippians 4:6-7 and also in Hebrew 9:27. It serves as a great reminder to us that even in times when we may find ourselves in situations whereby we are dealing with depression and anxiety we should keep on trusting in God. The bible teaches us that in all things we should give thanks to God. Faith is mostly needed when we find ourselves in such tough corners. We should be able to hand over our worries to God through prayers and thanksgiving. We don't just thank God for what we are seeing presently. If that is the only time we dim fit to thank God then we should change our attitude in that area. We should also thank God for things that are yet to come even though our present situation is telling a different story. When we offer thanks to God even in the midst of our situation then He will show up on our behalf. Having God in our lives is a great privilege because it makes it possible for us to hand over our worries and fears to Him. We should fix our focus to God and not the things that are going on around us or what people are saying. If we don't do so, anything can take control over us and that's what leads so many people into depression.
