The more we go through the Word, the more we begin to take the nature of our heavenly Father. ‎ ‎As humans we all possess freewill. We can either decide to tread on the path of darkness or decide to walk in the light and allow ourselves to be transformed by the truth in God's Word. When we begin to allow the Word of God bear fruits in us and allow ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit, we begin to see some traits gradually die down. When the peace of the Lord dwells in us we begin to extend it to people around us. ‎ ‎The bible instructed parents to train up their children in the way of the Lord. When a child is trained the right way he or she knows how to behave and also knows that it is expected of them to honour their parents. Parents should be equally patient with their children, especially when they are still tender and growing up. This is similar to one of the characters of God—which is being slow to anger. ‎ ‎We should always be patient to listen before we speak or act out, as talked about in James 1:19. Despite any misunderstandings, we are expected to live in peace and unity, especially as a family. ‎ ‎
