Marriage is a beautiful thing in the sight of the Lord. A couple is bound to each other so far as they are both alive. It's not an abominable act if someone gets married again after the death of their spouse. Some people may have a hard time dealing with the death of their spouse and due to the closeness they had with them when they were still alive they may decide not to marry again. That is their personal choice.
But some may decide to remarry. There is nothing wrong with this. The Bible made us know that the dead has no business with the living. The union that exists between them is in effect as long as they are alive. A man or a woman should not remain single for the rest of their lives simply because of an unfortunate incident that happened to their spouse.
Having to deal with losing a loved one can be a heavy burden to bear. But doesn't mean we have to live with that for the rest of our lives here on earth. One thing we must know is that whatever relationship we have with one another here on earth seizes when we exit this earth and transit to the other side. So even a parent that has a child here on earth will not take custody of that child when in heaven because in heaven we are all considered as God's children.
So the matter of remarrying is all a thing of choice, whether to do so or not. As long as the person's beliefs aligns with us as christians, it is okay to go ahead with remarrying.
