Topic Review: Is Prayer enough to get closer to God?

For every time we pray, we should not fail to back it up with actions. We shouldn't just pray and stop there. One of the reasons why we pray is to receive direction from God on what to do. If God gives us the instructions and we fail to carry them out we may fail to receive results from our prayers. ‎ ‎There are some cases got would bring what we ask of Him to us. But in most cases we are to be the one to go and get it. Say for instance we are asking God for our daily bread, we don't just sit and fold our hands expecting it to land from heaven like God sent manner during the time of the Israelites. We are to go out and find means to get it. Or we are believing God for a job, we don't just sit at home, expecting the job to come and find us. We are to go out and seek it. ‎ ‎James 2:17 ‎Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. ‎ ‎Part of what really brings our prayers answers is applying faith. The actions we take is what justifies our strong our faith is. If we doubt the possibility of something happening it is most likely that we won't take any action concerning it. But when we have full believe that it's going to manifest, we take steps towards it in order to see it become a reality. ‎
