True, several generations had passed since this prophecy was first made, yet everything happened exactly as prophesied years later. ‎ ‎The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ was also prophesied; it did not just happen, thousand of years before it actually came to pass. Consider how people responded to Noah's warning about a coming rain. When God spoke to Noah to build the ark in preparation for the rain, then the world had not experienced rain. ‎ ‎Even though Noah didn't understand "rain" but because it was God who spoke he obeyed. He followed the instructions and built the ark, miles away from the nearest sea. He was mocked by the people but that didn't discourage Noah because he was sure of what to come and knew that it was inevitable. ‎ ‎The same way God revealed future occurrences to the likes of prophet Isaiah, Noah and the rest is the same way He is still revealing things to us in this present age through His servants and also through His Word. God doesn't leave us in the dark as to things that must take place in the future which affects us.
