Topic Review: Learning how to forgive

As believers we are meant to love God and love people. If we love God alone and fail to love people, then we have not completely heeded to the commandment of God. Loving people may not necessarily be only when it is convenient for us. ‎ ‎Some cases may emerge that make it possible for us to exercise this kind of love. One of them is when we are offended by people. In such a situation, it may be difficult. But when we love people just as God expects from us we forgive them. If we don't forgive, our christianity is questionable. It may not really matter who is at fault. Unforgiveness is a weight that we should not carry along as believers. ‎ ‎Mark 11:25 – And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. ‎ ‎No one is perfect. When Christ died on the cross he died to forgive us for our past sins and also the ones to come in the  future. This is because he knows that as long as we are humans, we are most likely to trespass against Him. But regardless of the weight of our sins, Christ is willing to forgive us. As believers our greatest desires should be to emulate Christ. ‎ ‎If Christ is ever willing to forgive us of our shortcomings, we as well that are called His own should be able to do the same. It may be difficult but that is what God expects from us. Forgiveness doesn't make us weak. On the contrary, it is a sign of strength. ‎ ‎
