Soñaba con estar en la lista de esos pitchers que lograron conquistar un juego sin hits ni carreras ( No Hit No Run), como lo hizo Wilson Álvarez el 11 de Agosto de 1991 cuando maniató a los bateadores de los Orioles de Baltimore en su segunda apertura en las ligas mayores estando con los Medias blancas de Chicago, después vendrían Aníbal Sánchez ( 6 de Septiembre de 2006 jugando para los Marlins), Carlos Zambrano (El 14 de Septiembre del 2008 jugando para los Cachorros de Chicago) , Santana ( el 1 de Junio del 2012 jugando para los Mets de Nueva York) Félix Hernández ( el 15 de Agosto del 2012 jugando para los Marineros de Seattle); Pero ese juego del 15 de Agosto del Rey Félix Hernández resultó ser totalmente perfecto siendo así el primer venezolano hasta los momentos en lograr tan difícil proeza.  *Foto del Álbum Familiar, junto al Ex-Beisbolista Profesional villacurano William Castillo (Quién ya Falleció) Quién puede olvidar aquel juego en que por una errada decisión de un árbitro, Armando Galarraga no pudo disfrutar oficialmente de ser el segundo venezolano en la lista de los perfectos, Galarraga nunca olvidará ese 2 de Junio del 2010, dicen que el umpire después del encuentro y con lágrimas en sus ojos reconocería su error; es importante decir que el primer latino en lograr un juego perfecto fue el nicaragüense Dennis Martínez (El 28 de Julio de 1991 con los Expos de Montreal). También soñaba con ser Pitcher de mi eterno equipo: los Tigres de Aragua, soñaba con estar en la rotación y compartir con todas esas figuras: Richard Garcés, Juan Carlos Pulido, Víctor Moreno, Horacio Estrada, Rosman García (Gracias por todo lo que le distes a los Tigres de Aragua, aquí te seguiremos recordando). Lanzar, es un arte que te seduce, es una responsabilidad que se adquiere con toda valentía, un lanzador no puede ser un cobarde; la concentración debe ser profunda; allí estás en el montículo, dependiendo de tú equipo pero sobre todo de la capacidad que tienes para colocar los pitcheos donde deben ir, debes estudiar cada bateador; es así, el pitcher debe ser un observador, debe tener memoria de Elefante, tratar de equivocarse lo menos posible y confiar en sus compañeros, porque nunca debe olvidar de que el Béisbol es un deporte en equipo, la derrota es de todos y no de uno solo, cómo son las victorias, colectivas.
Muchos niños sueñan con ser Pitchers, yo fui uno de ellos, no pude lograrlo, estoy aquí sentado en una computadora escribiendo las batallas cotidianas y repasando las noticias donde nos dicen que Robert Suárez llegó a los 40 salvados, aparecen nuevos rostros, que vienen a dar esa certificación de que Venezuela no solo es una Fábrica de buenos Campocortos o Bateadores, también de Pitchers, los científicos del béisbol. Yo sigo tomando mi guante y pelota, imaginándome como el Pitcher que nunca fui.
