# ![IMG-20251023-WA0017.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmS8ciXVSsoZmSQVUVemaQk4QnbKw7CQTX3D5rSGNzZiUA/IMG-20251023-WA0017.jpg) # No matter how much they tell you that your entire family suffers from some illness, each generation has the opportunity to change the course of their life, that decision is in your hands, decide how you want to live, if your parents, grandparents, had chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, etc., that should not mark your life, your genetics can influence, but your lifestyle habits are what decide the outcome of your life and your health, live as you want to see yourself in a few years, review your lifestyle and make a decision, your health and your quality of life will always be in your hands. # https://hive.blog/hive-131951/@damarysvibra/romper-circulos-relacionados-con-la-salud-esp-eng # And we might immediately say, "Of course not." Science has shown us countless times that we don't inherit diseases, we inherit tendencies and habits. That is, what often passes from generation to generation isn't the disease itself, but the lifestyle of our parents or relatives. We repeat patterns, eat foods with excess sugar and salt, live lifestyles with constant stress, have very little rest, and something even more alarming, the habit of ignoring the body's signals. We don't listen to our bodies, we turn a deaf ear, and by the time we realize it, we're in the hospital. # ![20251002_123016~2.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmeP54FypwbbdiiBoM7qttg8R86AGF3uGthrYZXHh3h5Gh/20251002_123016~2.jpg) # All of these factors, which I've already mentioned, open the door to diabetes, hypertension, and other diseases that our children and young people are currently suffering from because they supposedly inherited them from their parents. # ![IMG-20251023-WA0019.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQXyhLW8e2GiMWv76sPAn8jN5VH3kPd6a9eE1TixTefzH/IMG-20251023-WA0019.jpg) # When my second son was born, the doctor told me he was prediabetic because he was born weighing 4 kilos and measuring 54 cm. Since my father was diabetic and my grandmother was diabetic, the doctor immediately told me that my son was going to be prediabetic one day. At that moment, he told me he was predisposed to diabetes. So I immediately said, my son would not suffer from those diseases, and I began to take care of his diet. My son is an adult, already married, he is 38 years old, he maintains a healthy lifestyle, he is an athlete, a sportsman, he eats healthy, and very healthy. And that, my friends, is what makes the difference. It's not the diagnosis you're given, but also the attitude you take toward your life, your interest in having a quality of life, your self-love. When you decide to take care of your health, you do whatever it takes to be well. # Nowadays, many people suffer from type 2 diabetes. It's one of the most common types of diabetes. And why does this disease occur? It arises when the body becomes resistant to insulin or stops producing enough insulin. It's most commonly caused by a poor diet, too much sugar, soda, desserts, sweets, refined flour, and a sedentary lifestyle. This disease doesn't appear overnight. It builds little by little with each of your daily decisions. Neglecting your health, as the saying goes, you are what you eat, and that's absolutely true. # ![IMG-20251023-WA0018.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmeMT6oKQoRFWxGCNQaFZhSWdJ2F92gpiqh6wXDdxqBC71/IMG-20251023-WA0018.jpg) # Another disease that is very common today is hypertension. This originates when blood vessels harden or narrow. This generally happens due to excessive consumption of salt, saturated fats, alcohol, a sedentary lifestyle, and emotional stress. When this becomes constant, the first symptoms begin to appear. Of course, we are not going to deny that there may be a predisposition due to a diagnosis in the family, but we can decide to write a different story for ourselves. We must decide how we want to live. It is important that we give health the importance it deserves. As I always tell my children, "without health, we have nothing." If you're not healthy, how you work, how you live, is impossible, and often we put health as last, when it should be first. # Since the day the cardiologist told me I was hypertensive, my life changed, and it changed for the better. I changed my lifestyle, my eating habits, the way I lived my life. I learned to put my health and that of my family first. We can't live half-heartedly, resignedly. We deserve more. We need quality of life. Taking care of what we eat is taking care of ourselves. Building ourselves up and valuing ourselves. Living a healthy life is the most important thing. Including physical activity in our daily routine should be as important as eating. Sleeping 8 hours a day is very important. An exhausted body will never perform. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Control stress. We must decide which battles to fight and which to let go. Our peace and tranquility are not negotiable. Taking care of our mind and emotions are all habits that prevent disease. But also, when we love ourselves, when we love ourselves, we say we're living better. # ![IMG-20251023-WA0017.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmS8ciXVSsoZmSQVUVemaQk4QnbKw7CQTX3D5rSGNzZiUA/IMG-20251023-WA0017.jpg) # No matter how much they tell you that your entire family suffers from some illness, each generation has the opportunity to change the course of their life, that decision is in your hands, decide how you want to live, if your parents, grandparents, had chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, etc., that should not mark your life, your genetics can influence, but your lifestyle habits are what decide the outcome of your life and your health, live how you want to see yourself in a few years, review your lifestyle and make a decision, your health and your quality of life will always be in your hands. # Well, friends, this concludes my participation in this excellent initiative. I also want to take this opportunity to invite @amymari and @santamorillo to participate. # https://hive.blog/hive-131951/@damarysvibra/breaking-circles-related-to-health-esp-eng # Thank you for your kind visit and support.
