El valor de las promesas [Esp/Eng]

 Hola como se encuentran el día de hoy amigos que tal su fin de semana, el mío quisiera que hubiera sido de salidas, pero la gripe no me ha dejado hacer nada y aquí estamos, saben que hay un momento especial que para mí tiene mucho peso y ahorita estaba revisando que no lo había compartido antes por acá. Antes de iniciar mi carrera de contabilidad yo inicié recién saliendo del liceo con otra carrera en la Universidad de Margarita la cual me permitió conocer muchísima gente y aprender un poco de los Idiomas lo cual era mi carrera, allí conocí personas espectaculares entre ellas mi mejor amigo y si se preguntan porque me salí no tiene nada que ver conmigo, es más por el dinero que se debía pagar que luego la situación fue mucho más difícil.

Hello, how are you today, friends? How was your weekend? I wish mine had been full of outings, but the flu has kept me from doing anything, and here we are. You know that there is a special moment that means a lot to me, and I was just checking that I hadn't shared it here before. Before starting my accounting career, I started another degree at the University of Margarita right after leaving secondary school, which allowed me to meet lots of people and learn a little about languages, which was my degree. There I met some amazing people, including my best friend, and if you're wondering why I left, it had nothing to do with me, it was more because of the money I had to pay, and then the situation became much more difficult.

  El punto es que cuando llegó el momento en que yo no pude pagar, obviamente salí de la universidad, pero al salir de ella me fui con una promesa de que estaría para su graduación y exposición de tesis, así como él estaría en la mía debido a que nuestra amistad fue muy cercana. El primero en presentar su exposición de tesis fue el debido a su trayectoria antes que yo que debía comenzar de cero, la verdad no es porque sea mi amigo, pero expuso muy bien a tal punto que se ganó un sobresaliente en su exposición hablo sobre la lengua Patua, lo cual es básicamente una lengua muerta, pero su recorrido fue por el callao venezolano y la verdad es que yo no entendía muy bien la vestimenta de su familia, pero luego me explicaron que así vestían las madamas del callao, lo cual fue lindo verlos a todos en apoyo a su hijo.

  The point is that when the time came that I couldn't pay, I obviously left university, but when I left, I made a promise that I would be there for his graduation and thesis presentation, just as he would be there for mine, because we were such close friends. He was the first to present his thesis defence because of his academic record, while I had to start from scratch. It's not because he's my friend, but he presented so well that he earned an outstanding grade for his defence. He spoke about the Patua language, which is basically a dead language, but his journey took him through the Venezuelan Callao, and to be honest, I didn't really understand his family's clothing, but then they explained to me that this was how the madamas of Callao dressed, which was nice to see them all supporting their son.

Mi amigo es de ciudad Guayana y siempre vive aquí en Margarita alquilado las clases y luego vuelve a su casa por lo cual cuando a mí me toco presentar mi tesis era momento de él volver a Guayana, ya que su mamá lo mandaba a buscar, pero él dijo que no, ya que ese día tenía un compromiso conmigo y así fue asistió. Por ahora nos falta vernos ambos en nuestras graduaciones, lo cual también me hace pensar que cada vez que hacemos una promesa, esta debe cumplirse, cueste lo que cueste, porque las promesas tienen demasiado valor en nosotros como personas, así como también para nuestras amistades. ¡Saludos amigos!

My friend is from Ciudad Guayana and always lives here in Margarita, renting a place while he studies, and then he goes back home. So when it was time for me to present my thesis, it was also time for him to return to Guayana, since his mother was sending for him, but he said no, because he had a commitment to me that day, and so he attended. For now, we still have to see each other at our graduations, which also makes me think that every time we make a promise, it must be kept, no matter what, because promises are very valuable to us as people, as well as to our friends.
