A Glimpse of Nature in the City 🏙️

Aquí estoy de nuevo, su amigo Enya, con un nuevo dibujo para la Semana de Holozing. En esta ocasión, les presento a una de las chicas, una tipo planta. 🌱

Your friend Enya is back with a new drawing for Holozing Week. This time, I'm bringing you one of the girls—a plant type. 🌱

Para este dibujo, la imaginé en un entorno natural y relajado, algo parecido a mi propia vida. Me vino la idea de dibujarla en un balcón, ya que yo duermo cerca de uno y no vivo en la ciudad. Me la imaginé viendo todo a lo lejos, como si estuviera en Caracas, donde las luces brillan por todas partes, iluminando edificios, casas y todo lo que se ve. ✨

For this piece, I wanted to draw her in a natural and relaxed setting, inspired by my own life. I imagined her on a balcony, similar to the one I sleep near, since I don't live in the city. I pictured her looking out into the distance, as if she were in Caracas, where lights shine brightly all over, illuminating buildings, houses, and everything in sight. ✨

Con esa idea en mente, me puse manos a la obra. Primero, pensé en una pose natural y amigable que al mismo tiempo fuera atractiva para captar su atención. Para el fondo, buscaba algo simple, y después de buscar varias imágenes de referencia, tuve una idea clara. Luego, pasé a Krita para pulir los detalles del dibujo. Empecé a pintar por la piel, luego la ropa y, por último, el cabello. Con el pelo quise probar algo nuevo usando un pincel que facilitó el proceso. Me encantó el resultado, especialmente con los brillos que le agregué. 🤩

With that scene in my head, I got to work. First, I wanted to find a natural and friendly pose that was also captivating enough to catch your eye. For the background, I aimed for something simple, and after looking at several reference images, I had a clear idea. Next, I moved to Krita to refine the details. I started with the skin, then the clothes, and finally, the hair. I decided to try something new with the hair, using a brush that made the process so much easier. I loved the final result, especially after adding all the highlights! 🤩

Lo más interesante y complicado fue el fondo. No sabía cómo hacer los edificios, pero descubrí que podía crearlos con manchas. ¡Al final, el resultado me encantó! También le agregué una caja de brillos para que la luz llegara desde abajo y una capa de sombreado para darle más profundidad al personaje.

The most interesting and tricky part was the background. I wasn't sure how to draw the buildings, but then I found out I could create them using smudges. The result turned out great! I also added a box of sparkles to show light coming from below and a layer of shading to give the character more depth.
