Saludos queridos y apreciados amigos de @Hivemargarita , en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con todos ustedes unas lindas fotografías de uno de los santuarios más hermosos de la isla de Margarita, se trata del la iglesia del Cristo del Buen viaje, un santuario ubicado en la población de Pampatar, Municipio Maneiro, Isla de Margarita. Como lo indica una lápida en la entrada,Está iglesia fue ignagurada en 1748, es iglesia desde 1758 y decretada Santuario desde el año 2002, destacando que está talla milagrosa del Cristo del buen viaje llegó a nuestras tierras en el siglo XVIII desde España.
> Greetings dear and appreciated friends of @Hivemargarita, this time I want to share with all of you some nice pictures of one of the most beautiful shrines of Margarita Island, this is the church of Christ of the Good Journey, a sanctuary located in the town of Pampatar, Municipality Maneiro, Margarita Island. El patrono de esta santa iglesia es una venerable imagen de cristo en la cruz que se a vuelto fuente de creencia y devoción de esta población, su día se celebra cada 3 de Mayo de cada año. La historia cuenta la milagrosa llegada de esta imagen a las costas, relata la historia que una noche de una gran tormenta arribo al puerto de Pampatar un navio proveniente de España el cual por dicha tormenta traía las velas y timón averiados y una vez anclaron en la isla la tormenta cesó, pero cada vez que intentaban salpar nuevamente a su destino el mal tiempo surgía y les impedía partir, intentaron por varias ocasiones sin lograrlo, entonces los tripulantes entendieron que había algo abordo que les impedía salpar, entonces sacaron de la bodega del barco la imagen del Cristo y lo bajaron a tierra y solo entonces pudieron salpar, sin contratiempos y en aguas tranquilas, de allí proviene el nombre del Cristo del buen viaje.

Está es una imagen de gran tamaño que ha sido venerada por años en esta pequeña iglesia en el casco central de Pampatar frente al castillo San Carlos Borromeo, a pesar de ser una iglesia pequeña es una de las más hermosas y visitadas por pobladores y turistas.
