My Friend's Pepper Farm // Using Smart Farming Method Or System

 my friend told me he wants to go to his farm to check if his pepper has ripe and asked me if I could go with him together and I said fine, I will go with him since I wasn't doing anything at the moment. We left home to his farm and what I saw at his farm surprised and amazed me. I saw his pepper farm was looking clean and beautiful, the pepper fruits are looking good and very dark greenish and very big. I exclaimed and said my brother you have make money with this your pepper farm. Because the pepper looked greenish and dark , it's looks beautiful to the eyes. I asked him how he has done it and have gotten this kind of pepper. He told me last year he has gotten a lot of pepper and tomatoes that he has sought and have generated income for himself and his family. And that he can't remembered the total amount he has made last year from just selling pepper he produced from his farm. But he said roughly it might be more than eight hundred naira to about 1.4 million naira if he hasn't mistaken even though the total amount wasn't sure for him.  He didn't sell the pepper all at once, he will go to farm and plug the ones that has ripe and fill them in a bag and buddle them. He said at times he can get up to four to five bags of buddle pepper in a day. That's why he doesn't know precisely the whole total amount of money he has made from the farm last year off head . I was shocked when I heard he has gotten that kind of amount of money last year and seeing he has also farm the same pepper farm this year again. I was so happy for his progress and success in his farming business.  He told farming now pays more even more than some government jobs that people are looking up and down tirelessly without even getting it and for some that has gotten the government most of them doesn't have anything reasonable to show for it at the end because of expensive also finished the salary at the end of the month. He said he's not against government jobs but even if you're doing government jobs finds something doing aside from that jobs that will be adding to your monthly payments. He said farming is the best these days in Nigeria, he has know how much he has gain because of farming and how far he has been or gone because of his farm produces. He said he looked for government work for so many years after graduating from university studied Biochemistry and couldn't find any . That the level of unemployment is out of hand in the country. He told me it was one of his friend that introduced him into this farming business and told him to invest into it and see how it will go with him.  That the first time when he started he has gotten little profits from the little he started with. Then he decided to enlarge and expand the farming systems or land and noticed is working good for him. That since then he doesn't care about government jobs anymore but base on his farming every year. He told me in a year he will farm this kind of particular two times before the year runs out.  He told me he uses two major methods of farming his pepper every year. Is Traditional farming or Rain Fed method which is during raining season and irrigation farming system during dry season because he has another farm that's very close to one big river. This particular pepper farm has been planted around April and now is July, looking at the beautiful produces soon to be ready for harvesting. This one is rain fed or smart farming method because this is obviously raining season. He said around ending November to December till February to March he used irrigation system for dry season. When I touch the pepper, it feels heavy because is big. This kind of particular pepper is not small like the way we used to do in our own local farm. We walked round the farm and I have seen the view of his pepper farm, it was big and something one will like to be looking at it because of how the farm and pepper is arranged.  I was so excited when he told me to plug some pepper that has ripe for my mother. Luckily I got some ripen pepper that I have plugged and have taken it home to my mother. He said this kind of pepper doesn't hurt much because is a bigger one. Is the small ones that hurts much. This particular kind of pepper even one with ulcer and chest pain can still eat it because it won't cause hurts or pain to the person. This kind of big pepper when used with tomatoes it gives you much juice and it make your soup delicious. He told me perhaps in two or three weeks this pepper will be ready for harvesting and I said I will follow him again when he is ready to harvest it .  I want to learn this method of farming pepper he has used, perhaps it will yield good for me. Seriously some people are making it big in farming. Because even if you are a government worker you will buy food and farm produces from farmers. It will be a good benefit for one that's working in an office and still be farming as well. Doing them both is not bad but it will lesser your expenses because you won't be buying food much again and with the money you have been paid at month end you can still invest it into farming in order to have a bombard harvest.
