Hello everyone, my name is Emmanuel, I am really excited to finally sit down and write this. I’ve been wanting to take this step for a while now and I figured today is the perfect day to do it.
Not to forget my very good friend @omachi213 who told me about this app and for the past few weeks, I must say it has been a very good experience for me I have been able to learn a lot and gain insight from peoples expression.
I am based in ibadan,Oyo State, Nigeria. I'm 25 years old, and my gender is male. My favourite colour is green and I love black colors as well. My favourite food is Amala, ewedu and gbegiri soup. Amala is being made with yam flower called elubo in my native language While ewedu called jute leaves is used in preparing the soup with locust beans
While the second soup called beans soup is being made with beans, pepper, onions and palm oil.
Here is a picture of one i ate lately
My favourite music type is hiphop and my favourite musician is Wizkid. Some people call him Machala here in Nigeria. My friend @omachi213 was able to tell me about this particular platform during her recent visit or vacation to Ibadan. I asked her why she was taking every bit of pictures and memories? She told me she has some friends on hive blockchain that values every bit of the memories. She also reminded me about her passion for photography, music and love for animal. She even told me the app has even been a zeal for her lately and it can be for me too so I asked her to show me how it works and here I am today taking this moment to write this post.
Professionally, i work as a graphic and website designer. Like I use to say my business tagline is (bringing your imagination into reality) and this has make me to learn that design is not just about making things look good it’s about solving problems helping people with their emotional and creative needs. Apart from work, I love watching movies, reading articles online, and watching football, like 80% of guys always do today everywhere in the world. I also visit places of interest on my free days. I always love to improve and get better everyday that's why communities like hive growth hub is of interest to me.
What stood out to me is the different people one can see on the community with resilience and growth in mind and this is what I have concluded during the past few weeks of navigating the app; i am looking for that kind of support and growth too. I would love to use this community to share my works and experience my wins and struggles which I have learnt from running a business and also learning from other peoples expressions.
I have been part of a few online communities over the years and one thing I have noticed is how the right set of people can really shape ones growth and I have seen many communities fade because they lack real connection but HiveGrowth feels refreshing it’s not just about posting it’s about meaningful interaction.
I was born into a family where things were not always easy. We do have to struggle each day and there were many times when resources were limited. But looking back I can honestly say that those challenges shaped me they gave me resilience and taught me to appreciate even the small wins in life.
One thing that really helped me during those years was engaging with friends, socialising my self and building this connections with others gave me confidence and exposed me to different ways of thinking it also showed me that growth doesn’t happen in isolation we need people around us to sharpen us, challenge us, and support us.
Even though the road is still not easy but I am proud of some of the milestones i have reached along the way. For example, stepping into the creative field of graphic and website design was a major turning point for me. What started as curiosity for me grew into a skill and eventually into a profession that allows me to help bring people's imagination into reality.
One thing I have learnt from a friend expression is consistency beats motivation. Looking back to 5 years ago when I just started my graphic design business there were days when I didn’t feel inspired at all but by showing up every day even with small steps I built a portfolio on Instagram and skills that I couldn’t have achieved in a single day or in a single year.
I also want to look back in the next 5 years and see not just financial progress here on hive blockchain but growth in my relationship with people, character, and my creativity.
To me this is not just a platform it's an opportunity to connect with others who are striving for something better.
I believe that networking isn’t just about what you can get but it's about what you can give.
I'm happy to be here and to share this.
