Agriculture In Another Level

Sometime ago a lot of people abandoned farming and focused on white collar jobs. They trusted their jobs to bring food to the table, which was actually working until inflation hit hard. The prices of things in the market rose drastically, food became very expensive, salaries could no longer serve, people had no option but to run back to farming. This year people that ventured into agriculture are many, everywhere around my environment is full of farms and miraculously, the farm produced very well. Agriculture is our biggest means of survival, without food, I am not sure life will continue to be on the earth. Some years back, our ancestors suffered in agriculture as they had to use crude implements to cultivate their lands. But in our day, we are lucky because there are varieties of machines, and other inventions to make it easier. Nowadays, you put little effort and have higher returns but the problem is the cost is usually high. You will have to spend on hiring machines or to buy them and to maintain it is also another expense. Mechanized farming no doubt has taken agriculture to the next level, it reduces stress and makes it possible to cultivate bigger portion of lands However, it is expensive to practice and it is fit mostly for those farming on a large scale. The high cost of mechanized farming and greed contributes to the inflation we are experiencing. The farmer would like to top up some money in his goods in order to gain, and sellers would also do likewise considering the cost of transportation and his/her labor, before it gets to us, the price would have become something else. Truth be told, if we can have a means to connect to the farmer directly, it would have made the price less for us. Imagine that medium happens to be an application, like a social platform, let's call it "Food For The Nation”. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmUcRiF4GG3qaurf6R3GiSNnNwZjQsdKy9mQFesCvFTaHN/1759521111247.jpg) Food will not only be cheap, but we will have the opportunity to go for the best and we can access any kind of farm produce we want. I don't know if this has ever happened to you, you went to buy something in the market and can't find it, in the end, you just went for the available even if it's not what you want. I have had that experience many times. With an application like that, I doubt we would experience such again. Nevertheless, one of the biggest disadvantages this will bring is that sellers would be at the losing side because most people would prefer to deal directly with the farmer instead of any vendor in the market. Imagine how many people would lose their jobs. **Have I participated in agriculture before?** Yes, people here farm a lot but it is on a small scale. I have followed my grandfather to farm a lot of time, and trust me the experience was great, just that it is usually very exhausting. N.B: All Images Were Generated By Meta AI
