Do I Wish For A Change Of Home?

There have been moments in my life when I felt like I was tired of my environment, I felt like I have been seeing the same thing over and over, I needed to change a place, I needed to migrate to another place and start over and probably things won't be the same. But you know what? After leaving home for a couple of months, I started missing everything, it was as if a piece of me was taken out. The moment I stepped my legs back at home, my entire being acknowledged that “this is home.” Stepping outside is good, it gives room for growth and progress, it brings about change and so on but we can not deny the fact that there is no place like home. No matter how far you go, a part of you will always long for home. The truth is our world has become something else, each day we hear of calamities, from natural disasters to human disasters. It has been like a journey from worse to worse, just when you feel like things are aligning and life is becoming better, trouble would strike. From the government, down to the people and the environment, it has mostly been bad news. One moment we are happy and celebrating progress, the next moment we are lamenting over the same progress. This has made a lot of people wish they could leave this planet and it's trouble to another place where they can find solace and genuine, lasting peace. It's so unfortunate that for now, that can not be a reality. We are creatures with amazing possibilities and potentials, the world was designed tough to spark those possibilities out of us. Forget it that life is full of pain and troubles but if we can reflect on our lives, we would trace most of our achievements and growth to those pains. I love comfort, but too much of it makes us lazy thereby killing our dreams. So, presuming there is another planet out there that supports life and has all the resources it takes for a better life, and I am given the opportunity to choose whether to relocate there or continue to live on earth. Without a second thought, I will decline. I don't know whether you are familiar with the saying that “the beginning is always the hardest.” Do you know what it takes to start afresh? Consider your current age and the fact that we are limited by time. When will you start building yourself, adjusting to your new environment and then start living? I know you would make history out there, you might be the first to discover things and win praises and titles for yourself, you may be surrounded by numerous opportunities and that's beautiful but what if you get the opposite? And how sure are you that with time that planet won't gradually become what you ran away from earth for? It's still humans that will inhabit the planet, they will still carry their greed and evil intentions along, it will only take a little while before they start contaminating the new environment again. Trust me, we don't need a new planet, we only need a new us. Earth is home and it has always been playing its part to ensure that it supports life, the problem lies with us and not the planet. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmcBX42uoK7oURHhXSD93Lkt9PhcFHPoQdx69aiGwUxCiA/1759561807490.jpg) If we can change our mentality, and our way of life, doing what is right and partnering with nature, we will definitely make this place a semi heaven for ourselves and our children.
