As humans, there are few things we learn about ourselves before we gain any access to schools, one of those things is dreaming. There are all kinds of definition of this phenomenon derived from scientific and mythology findings, right now I'm thinking, which of these school of thought should I base my arguments on.
If we were to talk about dreams from its general perspective, I consider dreams to be how our minds cope with grief and cravings. I mean I have seen lot of individuals go through immense pain and they find themselves dreaming about a better tomorrow, something to give them hope to continue living and there is also cravings.
I remember those days as a kid, I have dreamt of being a superhero a couple of times, whenever I woke up and I realise I still don't have any superpowers, I feel disappointed but then not all dreams are pleasant, we also have nightmares. This is one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of watching horror movies because there is a high chance that I might dream about it.
There are some kind of dreams that feels so real that you might not be able tell the difference between your reality and dream. Have you ever been chased in a dream to the extent that when you woke up your leg feels numb? As if you actually experienced it in reality, that is how powerful the influence of dreams can be on our minds and body.

So logically, I would say it is how our mind processes our inner thoughts but what about the things we dream of and those things happen in reality. This is where I dive into the mythological side of it. I'm a Christian and I believe in spirituality, there are things that occur in this world that Science do not have definition for and when those things occur, it becomes evident that spirituality is indeed real. I have had different kinds of dreams and I have experienced these dreams manifest in reality in ways I never thought possible but it just happened. As much as we dream of things that are just fictional in nature, we also dream of things that mirrors the past, present and future. There are things about dreams that we humans don't understand. As a Christian, I'm of the perspective that dreams are one of the ways the creator speaks to it vessels.
