ᴍᴏᴠɪᴇ ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡ: ʙᴀᴅʟᴀɴᴅ ʜᴜɴᴛᴇʀs

‎Over time, I know you might have had a taste of some zombie apocalypse movies, Korean movies have a way of making such imagination into a reality but this is not one of those, so you better punch your brakes….. Lol.  ‎The movie kicked off with Dr Yang Gi-su on display wearing lab coats, looking worked up like someone had stolen his wallet but no, he was the one who had stolen more than he can handle. Around him were people wearing lab coats like him but the only difference is that their face were facing down, which makes them look dead to me. ‎ ‎At first I thought, someone must have broken into the lab and killed doctors, probably they were at a point of breakthrough in their research but it is not any of that. Dr. Yang Gi-su was walking through the corpses looking paranoid and in search of something, he kept storming through one lab to another till he found a box, from his reaction, it seems like it was what he has been looking for. ‎ ‎He quickly cracked it open, lying waiting in the suitcase was pizza, definitely not, and you would not believe that would you? In the suitcase, there were injections and some tubes filled with serum. At that moment I was like it seems Dr strange is not up to anything good and I was right. Dr Yang Gi-su filled up the injection with the serum, lying next him was a lady dressed like she was about to go into surgery.  ‎To my surprise, he kept staring at the young lady passionately and calling her name repeatedly "So-yeon, So-yeon, So-yeon!!!, approaching her with the injection, she opened her eyes for a while and then she went back to sleep. I would have called her sleeping beauty but she had some weird looking spots on her face, I felt terrible for her, she looked like a lab rat, as if the situation was not bad enough for her, the creepy doctor kept walking towards her with the injection. ‎ ‎Just when I thought sleeping beauty was about to have a taste of Dr Yang Gi-su Concoction, some people started banging on the lab door and it seems they were not the type of people waiting to be invited in and from our creepy doctor’s reaction, it seems he knows who they are, more like he was waiting for them to show up. In the twinkle of an eye they barged in, with guns in their hands. ‎ ‎Dr Yang Gi-su tried sticking the needle into the young lady before they could get to him but a voice penetrated through the chaos, Yang Gi-su Stop!!!  and that moment all guns was pointing towards Dr strange. In the conversation with the lady that looked like a detective and Dr Yang Gi-su, I found out something unsettling, he said I can save So-yeon, and she replied, your daughter is gone. ‎ ‎So sleeping beauty known as So-yeon was Dr Yang Gi-su daughter, it seems that Dr Yang Gi-su has been carrying out all sort of experiment on humans to save his daughter, my heart melted and I was like that is some monstrous fatherly love right there. The conversation ran shot, Dr strange tried sticking the needle into his daughter, one of the military guys shot him in the shoulder and he fell on his back. ‎ ‎They picked him up like a trash Can and in that moment when I thought we have had enough of that single scene, an earthquake occurred and when Dr Yang Gi-su looked back through the lab window, every building in the city was falling to the ground and in no time, His lab collapsed too with everyone in it. It suddenly feels like that will be the end of Dr Yang Gi-su but it was not. ‎  ‎And so, the end of the world began, in the next scene there was a hunter named Choi Ji-wan, who happens to be Nam-san apprentice. It seems with the end of the world comes shortage of food and Choi Ji-wan seems to be hunting for meat and he found a very large crocodile, well he did not end well for him, he nearly got himself eaten by the angry crocodile but got saved by Nam-san. ‎  ‎In every movie there is always an actor that stands out, you call such actors the protagonist right? But Nam-san was more than that, he is my favorite character in the movie. You need to see the way he chopped off the head of the crocodile, like he was killing a goat. This character knows how to beat the hell out of everything and you will find out soon enough, this dude beats up more people in this movie than all the characters combined. ‎  ‎In the chaotic new world, there is a damsel in distress named Han Su-na and her grandmother, she turns out to be Choi Ji-wan's crush and goddaughter of Nam-san, it was due to the need to rescue Han Su-na that brought another good fighter like Lee Eun-ho into the movie.  She was as fast as lightening ball when it comes to punching, kicking and chopping off heads. She is the second person in the movie who could make a good sparring partner for Nam-san but his brutal force when fighting is concerning. ‎ ‎We also have the gang members and lords, those ones are like punching bags for Nam-san, he kicked their ass more time than I could remember. It felt like those once were born to get beaten up over and over again. ‎ ‎_{_***Music, graphics and sound effect.***_} ‎It seems application of soundtracks is not one of the producer's area of concentration, probably the script writer skipped it but lto substitute lack of adequate usage of soundtrack, there was something else, sound effects. Nam-san fighting scenes would have been dull without them, it brought the whole action to life, from the fist to fist pounding to gun blazing and all, the sound EFX perfectly blended with it. ‎  ‎You wouldn’t miss the music because Nam-san punches sound effect is enough for music. I personally loved the cinematography display of the destruction caused by the earthquake, it looked real enough for a movie, what about the killings and blood work? If it were not a movie I would say they actually killed those people. ‎ ‎_{_***In conclusion***_} ‎From action, comedy, drama are all situated in the movie, except romance. The only traces of romance that can be found in the movie is between Nam-san and Jung Young-joo "the weird lady" , she seems to have a crush on him but Nam-san is not the romantic type and he was not in the mood to start a relationship, I wouldn’t blame him, it was the end of the world. ‎  ‎The other sweet looking couple that would have made up for a good romance was Choi Ji-wan and Han Su-na, it was obvious that Choi Ji-wan had a crush on Han Su-na but Han Su-na was too busy playing hard to get or probably she was too occupied with the thought of survival and she was not in the mood to accommodate any thought of Choi Ji-wan. ‎ ‎Well the movie is good enough to get a rating of 5.9/10 - IMDb and 67% - rotten tomatoes.
