I crossed my arms for about 5 minutes thinking about how exactly I'm going to approach this subject in a way y'all will understand the reason behind my final decision. I mean it is not everyday you get to imagine having a vampire as a friend but that is the exact imagination I'm about to pen down, without wasting any more time, let me take you on a walk as we dive into the subject of discussion and you also get the opportunity to walk through my inner thoughts regarding this subject. My greatest strength is self mastery and self awareness, knowing to differentiate between what is logical and what is fantasy. One of the things I disagree with the most are people that keep wild animals as pet or should I say people who domesticate wild animals. I have no right to dictate what people should do with their money and what kind of animals should be purchased as pet but I believe as humans, we should try to maintain specific limits when it comes to dealing with specific wild creatures.
This creatures genes and instinct are built to hunt and when you decide to domesticate a natural born hunter, the only thing that changes is the environment and probably the harsh experience that might prompt these animals to want to hunt but the instinct is still there. They are the predator and everything else is prey, we can never truly understand what exactly goes on in this creatures mind, when they look at you, are they looking at you as a friend or as prey? I Know you are wondering what I'm getting at, we will get there.
Apart from wild animals, there are other wild beings portrayed in fictional movies, wild beings like vampires. As a lover of movies about vampires, werewolves or any other form of shape shifting mythological creatures, I kind of know a lot about them. I mean if you have watched movies like Twilight, vampire diaries, the originals, legacies, vampire Academy, interview with the vampire among many other vampire movies and TV shows I have watched repeatedly, you would agree with me that it is enough to draw a conclusion about these creatures.
One thing we need to understand about the psychology of every living being is that we are controlled by our desires and it doesn't really matter if we humans decide to become vegetarians, it takes a really great level of discipline to stay true to one's conviction but even at that, it doesn't mean we forget how meat taste like we are just controlling our urge to consume it. You see for we humans, we can still survive on many other things without consuming any animal related meals but it is different for vampires.
For creatures that survives on blood, there are very few options left and the top of the food chain for these devious creatures is humans. Creatures like this are not just after the meal, they are cold blooded creatures that derives fun from hunting their prey and one of the creatures on earth with the highest desire to live is we humans, we have a lot to live for and this need to live makes us the perfect prey to hunt for fun for cold blooded creatures like vampires, not to talk of how tasty human blood is to vampires. So when you ask someone like me, what I would do if I find out my friend is a vampire and his/her family share the same cold blooded gene? I would run so fast and if possible I would fly. You don't get it do you? I just found out that I'm also a tasty meal in my friends and his/her family's menu and you think I would stick around and find out what happens next? I'm not that gullible. You see most people tends allow the fantasy they derive from fictional movies lead them into developing some dangerous curiousity, I'm not one of those people. I'm a logical person, I analyse and calculate so well. Anything that doesn't fit with logical reasoning, I don't stick around it. Which means for someone like me, ignorance is not an excuse. The moment I discover such a thing, in fact I can decide to leave earth and go to Mars, even if I have to tie myself to one of Elon Musk space rocket just to make sure there is enough gap between I, my cold-blooded friend and his/her family. Even if I'm to meet my own end someday, it wouldn't be by becoming some else meal.
