Hace muchos años, una canción cautivó a todo mi país y, a través de las ondas de la radio, se convirtió en un éxito que conquistaría a miles de personas alrededor del mundo. En el corazón de la Venezuela de los 70, los sonidos del bolero y las serenatas capturaban la atención de un país que soñaba con el amor y el romanticismo. En 1976 yo Apenas era un niño y el mundo comenzaba a abrirse ante mí cuando descubrí esta canción. La voz de Johnny Rojas parecía llena de sentimiento y pasión, aunque no comprendía del todo lo que era amar, la canción emanaba sinceridad, y la melancolía de la melodía me llevaba a un mundo subjetivo.
Hoy en día, con canas en mi cabello, me siento bastante lleno de alegría y nostalgia al mismo tiempo al darme cuenta de cómo pasa el tiempo; es indetenible y ver lo talentoso que eran esos grupos musicales que se esmeraban para dar lo mejor de sí en su inspiración, su musa, sus composiciones y sus arreglos. Hoy en día, la tecnología ha abarcado muchas áreas. Aunque esto facilita ahorrar tiempo por la aceleración de nuestra época, también puedo darme cuenta de que el tiempo hoy día no se puede invertir en cosas recreativas.
