Realicé éste dibujo inspirada en la flor de orquídea, está bella flor es exótica por su gran belleza. Se encuentran en las montañas y selvas Venezolanas y todos los lugares que tienen un clima fresco o frio. Siempre me facina dibujar estás flores es algo que hace recordar mí infancia cuando estaba niña mi papá y mi abuela cultivaban estás matas para decorar los patios de las casas donde vivían. Tenían un orquidiario que era el lugar donde había muchas matas sembradas en cestas y en pedazos de troncos viejos. También a mí papá le gustaba cultivarlas pegadas a los árboles, allí se daban muy bonitas y se mantenían floreadas todo el tiempo.

I made this drawing inspired by the orchid flower. This beautiful flower is exotic due to its great beauty. They are found in the mountains and jungles of Venezuela and all places with a cool or cold climate. I always love drawing these flowers; it reminds me of my childhood. When I was a child, my father and grandmother grew these plants to decorate the patios of the houses where they lived. They had an orchid garden, where they had many plants planted in baskets and on pieces of old trunks. My father also liked to grow them attached to the trees; there they grew very beautiful and remained in bloom all the time.

Donde vivía mi Abuela el clima es frío allí las orquídeas se dan mucho más abundantes. Las tenía de tres colores; blancas, moradas y lilas. Muchas sembradas en diferentes materos de arcillas, unos cajones hechos de madera, en los troncos de los árboles y se veían las flores muy bonitas combinadas con las demás flores de gladiolas, lirios, rosas y claveles entre otras. A ella le gustaba mucho cultivar las orquídeas y todas clases de flores porque siempre se las vendia a unos señores que tenían una floristería y siempre estaban enamorados de ese lugar donde vivía mi abuela por la belleza de todas las matas y flores.

Where my grandmother lived, the climate is cold, and orchids are much more abundant there. She had them in three colors: white, purple, and lilac. Many were planted in different clay pots, wooden boxes, and on tree trunks, and the flowers looked very beautiful combined with the other flowers: gladiolas, lilies, roses, and carnations, among others. She loved growing orchids and all kinds of flowers because she always sold them to some men who owned a flower shop and were always in love with the place where my grandmother lived because of the beauty of all the plants and flowers.

Dibujar es una actividad que siempre me gusta mucho realizar, para mantenerme activa y para reforzar la buena salud mental. En este caso le apliqué pinturas de acuarelas, no tengo mucha experiencias aplicando este tipo de pinturas pero se hizo fácil y agradable mientras iba colocado las pinceladas con el pincel sobre el dibujo y quitando dónde había más pinturas acumuladas. Considero que tengo que mejorar más aprendiendo técnicas para seguir realizando mis dibujos inspirados en la naturaleza.

Drawing is an activity I always enjoy doing, to stay active and to strengthen my mental health. In this case, I applied watercolor paints. I don't have much experience applying this type of paint, but it became easy and enjoyable as I placed the brushstrokes on the drawing and removed where there was more accumulated paint. I believe I need to improve my techniques to continue creating my nature-inspired drawings.

Ahora el paso a pasos.

Now for the step-by-step instructions.

1 ) Elaboré el dibujo en una cartulina de blog para pintar en acuarelas.

1 ) I created the drawing on a piece of cardstock to paint with watercolors.

2 ) Inicié aplicando los colores verdes, lila y morado y un poquito de marrón.

2 ) I started by applying green, lilac, and purple, and a little bit of brown.

3 ) Continúe aplicando acuarelas y quitando con el pincel bien húmedo cuando había sobrante de pinturas o derrames. Tratando de seguir dándole vida y color al cuadro.

3 ) I continued applying watercolors, removing any excess paint or spills with a damp brush. I tried to continue giving the painting life and color.

4 ) Aquí sigo aplicando los colores para seguir resaltando las flores y el tronco y el cielo. Para finalizar le apliqué un poquito de color negro por los contornos del dibujo.

4 ) Here I continued applying the colors to further highlight the flowers, the trunk, and the sky. To finish, I applied a little black around the edges of the drawing.
