During my trip around the Paraguaná Peninsula in Falcón State, I have been visiting several places that were on my list of places to see, and today I want to share with you the northernmost point of Venezuela. This corner of the Paraguaná Peninsula has a special energy.
I planned my visit to this iconic lighthouse so that I would arrive just at sunset, hoping to see the sun set from that far corner of the country. Getting there wasn't easy. After leaving the main road, the path became challenging for the motorcycle, with loose sand, scattered rocks, and a breeze that seemed to push us sideways 😅 But as is often the case on the best trips, the effort was worth every second.
When we arrived, luck smiled on us because a national television crew was filming there and, to our surprise, they invited us to climb to the top of the lighthouse. From there, the view was simply spectacular ✨ The sun was beginning to set on the horizon, painting the sky with golden hues, while the wind blew strongly, as if it wanted to awaken all our senses. We were told that on clear nights, from that height, you can see the lights of Aruba, which is approximately 35 kilometers away.
The Cabo de San Román lighthouse is not only a landmark for sailors, it is also a silent witness to history. It was built in the early 20th century, inspired by the Tower of Hercules in La Coruña, Spain. Its structure stands on a rocky wall, with a solar-powered lamp whose flash can be seen up to 40 kilometers out to sea.
Today, Cape San Roman continues to be a place where history, nature, and excitement converge. For me, it was a spectacular experience that will be difficult to forget: the effort to get there, the surprise of climbing the lighthouse, the immensity of the landscape, and that wind that seemed to whisper that everything was all right.

Durante mi recorrido por la península de Paraguaná, En el estado Falcón he estado visitando varios lugares que tenía en mi lista de lugares por conocer y hoy quiero compartir el punto más septentrional de Venezuela, este rincón de la Península de Paraguaná guarda una energía especial.
Planeé la visita a este icónico faro para que mi llegada fuera justo al atardecer, con la esperanza de ver cómo el sol se despedía desde ese extremo del país. El acceso no fue fácil, tras dejar la carretera principal, el camino se volvió desafiante para la motocicleta, Arena suelta, rocas dispersas y una brisa que parecía empujarnos para los lados 😅 Pero como suele pasar en los mejores viajes, el esfuerzo valió cada segundo.
Al llegar, la suerte nos sonrió porque un equipo de televisión nacional estaba grabando en el lugar y para nuestra sorpresa, nos invitaron a subir a la cima del faro. Desde allí, la vista era simplemente espectacular ✨ El sol comenzaba a ocultarse en el horizonte, tiñendo el cielo de tonos dorados y mientras el viento golpeaba con fuerza, como si quisiera despertarnos todos los sentidos. Nos contaron que desde esa altura en las noches despejadas uno puede ver hasta las luces de Aruba, que queda unos 35 kilómetros de distancia aproximadamente.
El faro del Cabo de San Román no es solo un punto de referencia para navegantes, también es un testigo silencioso de la historia. Fue construido a principios del siglo XX, inspirado en la Torre de Hércules en La Coruña, España Su estructura se alza sobre una pared rocosa, con una lámpara alimentada por energía solar cuyo destello puede verse hasta 40 kilómetros mar adentro.
Hoy, el Cabo de San Román sigue siendo un lugar de encuentro entre historia, naturaleza y emoción. Para mí, fue una experiencia espectacular difícil de olvidar,el esfuerzo de llegar, la sorpresa de subir al faro, la inmensidad del paisaje y ese viento que parecía susurrar que todo estaba bien.
