Although everyone is invited on this trip, I had to mention these two rays of sunshine....
One of the things I had yet to see in Barcelona was Park Güell, designed by Gaudí, a large space where art and craftsmanship coexist with nature.
Located on a hillside of Mount Carmel, in the Collserola mountain range, between the neighborhoods of La Salut and El Carmel and overlooking the sea, this Friday the 13th ☹️ I partially fulfilled this pending visit.
I decided to take one of the secondary entrances to the park to begin my tour.

Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya
There were several reasons for not choosing the main entrance. My priorities led me away from the most popular and touristy part of the park, as it was and is the part that interests me the least.
Away from the monumental area (the dragon staircase, the mosaic benches, the Hypostyle Hall, etc.), the entrance on Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has its advantages.
Less crowded than the main entrance, it offers spectacular panoramic views of Barcelona.

>Había varios motivos para no elegir la entrada principal. Mis prioridades me alejaban de la parte más popular y turística del parque, ya que era y es la que menos me interesa.
>Alejada de la zona monumental (escalinata del dragón, los bancos mosaico, la Sala Hipóstila, etc) la entrada por la Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya tiene sus ventajas.
>Menos concurrida que la entrada principal ofrece unas vistas panorámicas de Bracelona espectaculares.
The closest Metro station is Lesseps (L3), which is about 15 minutes from our destination. And here we must mention the disadvantages of this route.
Our route will take us to the upper part of the park, which is accessed after climbing some very steep slopes. In principle, escalators should help with this climb, but on that day, several sections were not working.

>Nuestro taryecto nos llevará a la parte alta del parque al que se accede tras ascender por unas cuestas muy empinadas. En principio deberían ayudar a esta escalada unas escaleras mecánicas pero ese día... varios tramos no funcionaban.
As we ascend, little by little, we leave the great city of Barcelona behind us.
Once inside, after presenting our ticket purchased online, the climb continues.
From the top, depending on which direction you look, you can see either the monumental area of the site or the sea horizon.
In these views of the Mediterranean, the [Sagrada Familia](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Templo_Expiatorio_de_la_Sagrada_Familia) always takes center stage.

On the mountainside, nature surrounds visitors. Numerous trails lead even deeper into the bushes, trees, and scent of pine.
The stone viaducts, which are fully integrated into their surroundings, are particularly noteworthy. The stone columns that support these artificial caves seem to imitate tree trunks, the ribs of the roof the branches of trees, and you can even make out the roots of those trees.
There is no doubt that organic elements are present in Gaudí's work. The Catalan architect himself said that nature was his teacher, although my gaze traveled a little beyond the palm trees, pines, and rocky waves that can be glimpsed in the viaducts.

One of the most notable areas is the Plaza de la Colonia, a large square located in the center of this architectural complex.
Beneath its surface is the Hypostyle Hall with its columns, and on the sides you can see the popular ceramics that adorn the large winding bench that surrounds the square.

In addition to the park's other notable features, we should be grateful that Gaudí decided to include a picnic area. It is a fairly quiet spot, despite the crowds of visitors, where you can relax while enjoying views of Barcelona and nature.

>Además de los elementos ya destacados del parque, hay que agradecer que a Gaudi se le ocurriera dotar de una zona de Picnic al parque. Un lugar bastante tranquilo, a pesar de la multitud de visitantes, en el que se puede descansar mientras se disfruta de las vsitas a Barcelona y de la Naturaleza.

After resting for a while, I continued climbing up the hillside until I reached the middle viaduct. That's when my visit really began.
I went to the park with the spirit of a pilgrim, so these organic stone structures were what interested me most.
According to my intuition, these caves designed by Gaudí are creations closely related to another of Gaudí's works, the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia, a monument in which Salvador Dalí already saw a mountain (the archetype that unites heaven, earth, and the underworld) of flesh and bones.
So these rounded, serpentine forms also remind me of the organic... although beneath the appearance of a forest, I sense an animal presence: flesh and bone.

>Tras descansar un ratito continué ascendiendo por la ladera del monte hasta que llegué al viaducto del medio. En ese momento comenzó realmente mi visita.
>Acudí al parque con vocación de peregrino por lo que éstas construcciones de piedra tan orgánica era lo que más me interesaba visitar.
>Según mi intuición estas grutas ideadas por Gaudí son creaciones muy relacionadas con otra obra de Gaudí, el Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia, monumento en el que Salvador Dalí ya vió una montaña (el arquetipo que une cielo, tierra e inframundo) de carne y huesos.
>Así que estas formas redondeadas y serpenteantes me remiten también a lo organico... aunque bajo la apriencia de bosque aprecio una presencia animal: carne y hueso.

Plaza de la Colonia // Colony Square
The Plaza de la Colonia is a large expanse of land surrounded by a large terrace or a large ceramic bench, depending on how you look at it. From there, you can see the main entrance from above, with two striking buildings standing out for their rounded shapes and the ceramic tiles that cover them. The Visitors' Pavilion is crowned with a large cross, and to its left is the pavilion of the former concierge's office.

>La Plaza de la Colonia es una gran extensión de tierra con una gran terraza o un gran banco, según se mire, de cerámica que la rodea. Desde allí se puede contemplar la entrada principal dese lo alto, resaltando dos llamativos edificios por sus redondedas formas y la cerámica que los cubre. El Pabellón de los visitantes coronado con una gran cruz y a su izquierda el pabellón de la antígua conserjería.
