Hoy definitivamente traigo algo completamente diferente, un tallado en hueso, el cual se hace por encargo, este tallado se hace a mano con una herramienta que se llama motortool, se trata de hacer una recopilación de pasos a través de un paso a paso con fotografías, y un GIF que se hace al final, que es lo que vengo a presentarles, espero que les guste y aquí les dejo una recopilación de alrededor de 16 horas de trabajo. Esta es la etapa básica, sobre el hueso ya curado (si alguno está interesado en el proceso de curación de hueso de ganado para tallar, solo avísenme y haré un post sobre el proceso completo que dura entre 24 y 48 horas) se realiza un primer boceto de la ubicación de los elementos principales a tallar sobre la pieza de hueso a tallar. Aquí se pueden ver los primeros elementos tallados. Es un proceso lento; hay que trabajar el hueso con paciencia sin quemar ni el cortador ni el material tallado. Se libera mucho polvo. Es útil tener una aspiradora. No tengo, así que parar a recoger el polvo es repetitivo. Esto también permite que la herramienta se enfríe.	Here you can see the first carved elements. It's a slow process; you have to work the bone patiently without burning either the cutter or the carved material. A lot of dust is released. It's helpful to have a vacuum cleaner. I don't have one, so stopping to collect the dust is repetitive. This also allow the tool to cool.

En este punto, comenzamos a definir las demás partes del cráneo. La idea es trabajar las secciones una por una, para que cualquier elemento que pueda fracturarse se maneje con más cuidado al desbastarlo. Una fractura puede ocurrir por desbastar demasiado el hueso, por aplicar demasiada presión con la herramienta de desbaste o porque el hueso ya esté agrietado (esto último, ya que se adquiere experiencia con este material durante el proceso de selección).	At this point, we begin to define the other parts of the skull. The idea is to work on the sections one by one, so that anything that could fracture is handled more gently when roughing it. A fracture can occur from roughing the bone too much, from applying too much pressure to the bone with the roughing tool, or from the bone already being cracked (the latter as experience with this material is gained during the selection process).

En este punto, comenzamos a definir las demás partes del cráneo. La idea es trabajar las secciones una por una, para que cualquier elemento que pueda fracturarse se maneje con más cuidado al desbastarlo. Una fractura puede ocurrir por desbastar demasiado el hueso, por aplicar demasiada presión con la herramienta de desbaste o porque el hueso ya esté agrietado (esto último, ya que se adquiere experiencia con este material durante el proceso de selección).

At this point, we begin to define the other parts of the skull. The idea is to work on the sections one by one, so that anything that could fracture is handled more gently when roughing it. En estas dos fotografías se puede observar como se retira con cuidado la parte superior del hueso coronal debido a que es una parte muy blanda del hueso, y por tanto frágil, por lo que es muy fácil crear perforaciones no deseadas.	In these two photographs, you can see how the upper part of the coronal bone is carefully removed because it is a very soft part of the bone, and therefore fragile, making it very easy to create unwanted perforations.

Estas dos fotografías muestran el cráneo terminado, lijado con papel de lija de varios gramaje y pulido con aceite de coco y betún para cuero.	These two photographs show the finished skull, sanded with various weights of sandpaper and polished with coconut oil and leather polish.
