On Mother's Day, my sons handed me these lovely little flowers which brightened my day right up. They also BBQ'd which was my requested meal of choice. As the weather has gotten warmer the call of the grill has been very real. My youngest son was the grilled chef. Oldest son made potato salad for the first time. He took some tips from his grandmother who is the master of potato salad. I learned from her and so it was fitting that he learn from her as well. It was so tasty that I told him he may just have secured a new role in the family BBQ meal prep.
Unfortunately there are no pics of the delicious BBQ chicken, smoked sausage, and steak shish kabobs. We chowed down with gusto and then prompty took naps.
It was a tasty way to enjoy Mother's Day. What's nice is that the flowers even all these days later, still look fresh and bring a smile to my face when I see them each day. Flowers have a way of doing that. Which makes me think that perhaps I should consider fresh cut flowers as something we have in our home regularly and not just on special occassions.
