Bent (An Original Poem)

You’ve bent yourself into shapes you were never meant to take, contorting for the sheer comfort of others, forgetting the sacred geometry of your soul.

The air, thickened with questions, wisps of endless wandering, wondering what could have been, about what might still await, beyond the reach of your small voice.

Some days you feel a lot like a shadow leaning further from its source, stretching paper thin against the walls pulling further away from the gravity of who it is you know you are.

Yet in quiet moments, even the clouds can ignite your imagination, a reminder that not all forms must break to transform into something new.

So walk forward with intent, before you lose the light, learning again how to stand as you first imagined, whole, unbent, unapologetic, unafraid.
