📚 Book Review: We´ll prescribe you a cat [ES/EN]

 _{Cover edited in Canva} ¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy me paso por acá para traerles mi reseña acerca de un libro de literatura asiática de esos que te hacen bien al corazón. Les estoy hablando de ***Te receto un gato*** de la autora Syou Ishida. >Hello, readers! Today I'm here to bring you my review of an Asian literature book that will warm your heart. I'm talking about ***We´ll prescribe you a cat*** by author Syou Ishida.  En este libro conoceremos 5 historias que giran en torno a la clínica Kokoro Chukyo, un lugar muy peculiar donde buscas ayuda psicológica y te recetan un gato. Así empieza la aventura de cada paciente, pero algo mágico sucede en esta clínica que solo la pueden encontrar los que de verdad necesitan hacerlo. Allí trabajan dos seres igual de peculiares, una enfermera con mal carácter llamada Chitose que se encarga de la recepción y el doctor Nike, que parece ser todo menos un profesional de la salud mental. Pero es en esta clínica donde los pacientes encuentran lo que necesitan para avanzar en sus vidas. Quien sabe, tal vez un gato sea la cura a todos los males. >In this book, we will learn about five stories revolving around the Kokoro Chukyo clinic, a very peculiar place where you seek psychological help and are prescribed a cat. This is how each patient's adventure begins, but something magical happens in this clinic that only those who truly need it can find. Two equally peculiar beings work there: a bad-tempered nurse named Chitose who is in charge of reception, and Dr. Nike, who seems to be anything but a mental health professional. But it is at this clinic that patients find what they need to move forward in their lives. Who knows, maybe a cat is the cure for all ills.  Hace un tiempo que tenía ganas de leer el libro. Es una lectura ligera y reconfortante, también tiene su cuota de comedia y una pizca de drama. Es un libro que suelo decir que va in crescendo, empieza tranquilo y al final te estruja un poco el corazón. Cada historia que iba pasando era mejor que la anterior hasta llegar a la última que fue la que más me conmovió. >I had been wanting to read this book for a while. It's a light and comforting read, with its share of comedy and a dash of drama. It's a book that I often describe as building momentum, starting off calmly and ending up tugging at your heartstrings a little. Each story was better than the last, until I reached the final one, which moved me the most. Me gustó la forma en la que fue planteada la trama, es una especie de realismo mágico, ya que suceden hechos inexplicables pero se los naturalizan. Me encantan los gatos así que eso fue motivo más que suficiente para leerlo, nunca tuve uno de mascota, pero me encantaría en algún momento. Siento que son seres muy espirituales y de verdad creo en que tienen el poder para ayudarnos a sanar, aunque claro, nada reemplaza a la salud mental profesional. Una cosa no debe quitar a la otra. >I liked the way the plot was presented; it's a kind of magical realism, as inexplicable events occur but are treated as normal. I love cats, so that was reason enough for me to read it. I've never had one as a pet, but I'd love to at some point. I feel that they are very spiritual beings, and I truly believe that they have the power to help us heal, although, of course, nothing can replace professional mental health care. One thing should not take away from the other. Es hermoso ver cómo se van construyendo los vínculos entre los gatos y sus "pacientes", aunque hay cosas que no me gustaron del todo, eso lo tengo que decir, pero no hablaré de más para no hacer spoiler. También es muy divertido por momentos, ya que los gatos también se mandan sus travesuras jaja. Y por supuesto, no puede faltar aquella historia que te hace llorar o al menos aguarte los ojos. >It's beautiful to see how bonds are formed between the cats and their “patients,” although there are some things I didn't like very much, I have to say, but I won't say any more so as not to give away any spoilers. It's also very funny at times, as the cats get up to mischief too, haha. And of course, there's always that story that makes you cry or at least brings tears to your eyes. Fue una lectura placentera, de esas que te acarician un poco como las patitas esponjosas de los gatos. Me alegro haberlo leído, es un libro ideal para los amantes de los gatos y para todos los que quieran leer algo corto y ligero. Además, te hace reflexionar acerca de los vínculos con los animales y de los cuidados que hay que tener con ellos. En definitiva, es una historia muy bonita que recomiendo un montón. >It was a pleasant read, one of those that caress you a little like the fluffy paws of cats. I'm glad I read it; it's an ideal book for cat lovers and for anyone who wants to read something short and light. It also makes you reflect on our bonds with animals and how we should care for them.
