Art Cocktail Tuesday

Folder cleaning is not done yet, so it's time for another round of art cocktail. I love these posts. When I am visiting an exhibition, everything is set, decided previously and I have no saying in what I want to see of in what order I'd like to the exhibits.

Mixing art makes posting more interesting and I hope you feel the same. So now I'm the one organizing the virtual exhibition on Hive, for the interested users.

Gabriella Fábián - Fairyland

Let's start with this textile art, that is my favorite for several reasons. First of all, I love detailed works and this is close to my heart as it's childish. I'm not saying this as an insult, or out of lack of appreciation, on the contrary. Please don't confuse childish with naive art, that's a different category.

I took a close-up photo for you to have a better look at the details. I love it, I can see it as a storybook illustration as well. I hope one day I can create something similar. I don't mean a copy, but something in this category.

Gábor Hunor Veress - Trap

Seeing how interesting this metal sculpture is, I decided to take another photo from a different angle. As you can see, there's one, or two legs there. It's scary and painful to look at it, as it makes you think of the pain anyone trapped inside could experience, but the pain is not even the biggest problem, dying trapped is.

Ilona Sajgó - Tree of Life

Ilona Sajgó is a very talented textile artist and I've been fortunate and privileged to see her artworks in several exhibitions, including a solo exhibition as well. This piece is not the best for me, have seen others that I liked better, but still can appreciate the execution. I like how the artist used different patterns for the trunk, then lace for the branches.

Zsigmond Bálint - The Pasture Is Getting Green

There's no exhibition without my biggest enemy to be present, so here it is, making my life miserable, but please disregard it and try to see the photos, as these are really exceptional. From where I stand now, I can't tell if these were aerial photos or taken from a higher point, but I love the different shades of green. My dream is to capture something similar once. Green or dry brown, it doesn't matter. What matters is the parcels so nicely separated by different colors.

József Miholcsa - Blessed Eusebius

I'm not sure what could I say here.

Blessed Eusebius of Esztergom (Hungarian: Esztergomi Boldog Özséb; 1200 – 20 January 1270) was a Hungarian canon, hermit and the founder of the Order of Saint Paul the First Hermit.

It's a wooden sculpture, featuring a religious figure, a really particular one.

Dressed For Festivity

Each and every place has its own history and tradition and what you see on this photo is such a celebration. I suppose it's an Easter tradition, but I've never seen one in person. Big cities are far from keeping these traditions alive and besides, horses are not allowed in. However, it would be a real pleasure and honor participating in one, one day. Seeing those folk costumes and the lovely horses with the wreath around their neck can be a really nice experience.

It's been raining for three days now, where I am right now, so looking at the sunny landscape makes me want to be there, walk up the hill and enjoy the lovely view.

The Flock

A different life, in a different world. When I look at such photos, the first thing that comes in my mind is calmness.

Being At The Top Is Good

We all know being at the top is good, but being on the top of the mountain is even better. I've never been in such place during winter as you need training and special equipment but I always admire these gorgeous photos.
