After a week without art, it's time to resume posting something from this wonderful world. Honestly I miss art and was thinking I'll have time to spend visiting exhibitions, but life has dealt me different cards. This is not a complaint, I really have no reason to complain, but I need to work wonders to be able to do everything.
So let's do another textile art post and see who likes what.
Gyöngyvér Kiss - Fragments of Ordinary Things 2
Gyöngyvér Kiss - Fragments of Ordinary Things 3
This was a series, but only these two were exhibited.
I cropped the second one for you to see what it is. Beads on canvas basically, simple, but very interesting idea.
Ana Hoble - Purple Road
This orange piece looks like a simple cloth, but it's way more than that for me. It's felt and the way colors are put together is amazing. If you know how felting is done, you know it's not that easy to get a nice piece, but Ana, the artist made it! I love it as these are my favorite colors and I'd be more than happy to have this piece on my wall. I would call it Autumn though.
My apologies here, because I didn't take photos of the tag and zooming in makes it unreadable, so all I can say it's made by Mária - Magdolna Vass, but the title of the artwork will remain a mystery. Regardless, I love it. It's a wonderful landscape and I love the colors too.
So many times I like so many artworks and I'm kind of sad, for not being able to buy the ones I like, but what can you do, right?
Daiana Stancioiu - Trifol ...
Again, I can't see the title, but it doesn't matter.
I took some close-up partial photos for you to see what this artwork is made of, as it's very complex and full, if I can use this word here. It's full of beads and sparkles.
It's nice, but honestly, I don't know what to say about it. It's too much for me.
Georgina Trila - The Harmony Of The Ocean
I can see this on the wall of the children's room. It's like a scene from a movie, or a story book. This is totally doable and maybe I'll create my own. It's kind of frustrating that I keep saying this and time never comes but if I don't make time for myself, no one will.
Felicia Elena Cimpian - Composition
This was a bit of a disappointment. I mean everyone can see what it is. It's two artworks made using white and cream lace, on a black medium. What I would have been interested in was the title, that would have revealed what the artist meant with these, but the title said nothing. I'll let you tell me what you see here, what you think the artist meant.
Eugenia Elena Reimschneider - Vibrant Structures
Another interesting one, but it's not my favorite to be honest.
Cristina Gabriela Hirtescu - Sunny November
Same idea executed in a different way. Cut offs sewed back but to a different place, symbolizing falling off leaves. This isn't my favorite either, but I like the idea and how the artist illustrated the idea using textile.
This is the top floor of the gallery and I'm always taking a photo of it, whenever it's open, because I love the place. There's a huge window on the left, which basically covers the ground floor and half of the top floor, but what I love the most is the big space and the railing.
I keep (day)dreaming about how it would be like, to have this floor as your living room, or workshop or study, or whatever you would want this floor for.
Raluca Simona Loghin - Recursive IV.
I don't say this often, but I don't like this at all. Sorry, but I can't say the opposite.
Cristina Lazar - Silence
Last, but not least, there were these two black garments, made by Ágnes Szakács.
This is the last batch of photos I took at the annual textile exhibition. Let's see if you like anything from here.
