Today I made a plan and turns out I have to visit 6 exhibitions in the upcoming 7 days or 10. It's not a must, but would hate to lose the occasion. Most of these exhibitions, if not all are free (imagine what a gift) and this is maybe the only occasion to see these artworks.
What many don't know is that some of the exhibition are hosting pieces from private collections, only lent to the galleries for a single event and then they are taken back and you never see them again. This is why I'm fortunate to be able to take photos and have their memory forever.
Today we're going to have another set of art cocktail, hopefully very diverse and mixed. So let's get to it.
Cristian Martinas - The Author
Created with archaic methods and got a bronze medal. At first, it looks like a bit ink smudge, but it's way more than that. Based on the title, I suppose it's the profile of the author, but what makes it unique and excellent as well is the writing on that lively paper. I tried to read the test and found out it's in Hungarian and most likely it's a poem, but as you can't read the whole text, it doesn't make much sense. However, it looks good.
Hajnal Vitos - Everywhere Is Good, But The Best Is At Home
Bronze in the Hungarian Proverbs. In one of my previous posts I mentioned this category and we had a discussion about what comes first, the proverb and after the photo? Or you find a photo and try to find a proverb that matches the photo?
This is a well knows proverb, an old one, which I suppose, along with so many, is going to die or be forgotten as the younger generation has a different vocabulary, but the truth is, I don't use it either, so ...
Anyway, look at those faces. Looks at the joy and happiness. These kids don't have the luxury most of us have now. No electronic gadgets, no video games and such devices. Life is much more simpler for them and harder in the same time as comfort is missing, but they are still happy. Even though I would not want this life for kids, it's a wonderful shot.
Attila Babos - Smells Like Beaver
This amazing photo got special mention and I can see why. Imagine trying to capture such a scene. I don't know if it was planned or just lucky, but it's very good and the title as well. Look at those lovely golden colors. Plus imagine the level of discipline you have to have to not scare the animal. Love it.
Miklós Frauda - Winter Landscape
This is funny because I am seeing this scene every single day from my window. I mean the sky and the birds, not the winter landscape. It's a unique experience to see so many birds flying over your head every day. The sky is basically black. They are flying now as I write. It's like in a Hichkock movie.

Let's switch from paintings and photos to metal plates, featuring famous people. This is a special type of art, the kind that I love and respect a lot. I respect all kinds of arts by the way, but there are a few that I like more.
What you see here are three prominent figures of the Hungarian history, those who left us a considerable heritage.
I don't know who the artist is, but this is an amazing metal sculpture. Look at how interestingly the artist created the church, with the deep roots, which is true as the specific church of Transylvania was built in 1213 and in 2013 celebrated its 800 years of existence. Brilliant concept! Many people are not religious these days, myself included, but as an artwork, this is exceptional.
I've always been wondering what these prominent personalities would say if they'd know their portraits ended up on the wall of an exhibition, decades, centuries later.
Fun fact about these metal plates is, that you mostly see old people being featured as it mostly serve to commemorate their life and work.
Balance swing
I took this photo at an exhibition that had as theme inventions. It was the most interesting in its category. The gallery curator turned most of the devices on, so imagine how I felt when all these things started to rotate, swing and made a sound like I was in a science lab. It felt like going back in time many centuries.
