How to make Mango Nougat candies (Nougat xoài)

Healthy nougat candy is not so hard to make. Here's how I make Mango nougat candies (Kẹo Nougat xoài in Vietnamese)

Ingredients: - 150gr marshmallow candies - 60gr unsalted butter (Anchor/Flora/newzealand) - 80gr almond - 60gr cashews - 45gr dry mango (slice them) - 40gr milk powder (unsweetened ones would make your candies less sweet) - 20gr Coconut poweder

How to make it. Low heat only from start to finish. First, melt the butter.

Then melt the marshmallow. Here I use diet Erko Marshmallow or sylitol ones (in which no sugar is added) image.png

Please stir as quick as possible till the marshmallow and the butter melt into each other. - Add the milk power and coconut powder and mix them well image.png

When everything is blended, put the nuts and fruits in. Again, mix them well image.png

Next, this step is very important since it decides how dry and firm your candies are. Please keep the heat low and stir till it's not so sticky anymore. You can use your finger to touch the texture and feel it yourself.

  • Pour in a Nougat candy mold and decor with more dry mango, like this:

  • Put this in a fridge for one hour, take out and cut it in pieces. They are sweet enough to sastify but not too sweet. image.png
